Good morning ladies bit brighter today hope it warms up. nothing planned for today except a walk to the voting station later. Greg is off has they use his school . Good morning everyone beautiful here his morning , mum certainly brought good weather with her ! got my brother comming tomorrow and my neice , she is 16 and lovely , I exspect her and Rupe will spend a a bit of time together , even though they don't see each other often they have a good laugh together , something that does not happan with him and Dulcie .Went to the Doctors yesturday , more steroids and a differant inhaler, felt loads better yesturday evening but last night was'nt so good ,the steroids will kick in today .What ever your doing have a great day .Hugs to everyone even if you don't think you need one , we all need a hug ! lexie

Up early this morning... in fact I was boiling up some cabbage, cauli and broccoli at 5.30am to mix in with Cookies fibre stuff that we feed him. Kitchen smelt... awful! Still a slow process with him though.
Lovely day here today, bit warmer than what it was yesterday.
Big Brother starts tonight... looking forward to that.

I don't know what to say about poor Cookie, I keep waiting for good news, but it's slow coming. He's improving, though, and that's what matters.

Just checked online to see if I am needed to place any orders in my new boss's absence. It's nerve-wracking as I haven't had much practise, and one extra nought in the wrong place makes a lot of difference!

This evening we are off to begin preparations for our monthly Jumble Sale, there are usually about a dozen of us, and masses of stuff that has to be carried upstairs (including small furniture and televisions!). We don't have access to the hall until after 8.00 p.m. so we're not full of energy then, and none of us are in the first flush of youth, to say the least, one helper is a lovely gent of 85.
The actual Sale is tomorrow, so we are there for 8.00 a.m. to set out the stalls for the 10 o'clock start. It's held in a big, spacious room and about 30 people help on the stalls. The customers love it, they treat it like a social occasion, (they'd like us to hold one in January but it's the first Friday of the month, and as organizer I refused to spend the Christmas period sorting jumble!) they come from miles around, hate missing it, and greet us as friends, so that bit is really nice.
Unfortunately, there are only about six of us to eat our packed lunches and return all the things we are keeping for the next month, so we are shattered before we finish at about 3.30. We've raised over £1000 each month since a year last August, and that's a lot of money, so we keep going, although at this point I could wish we didn't .

My hands are much better today, the wrist swelled up alot yesterday but I splinted it overnight and it is alot better now.

hi there well christine i took your advice and took some decoupage into work to cut out and my walkman and some talking tapes, so i have had a good day today sitting there listing to talking tapes cutting decoupage out and getting paid for it cant be bad can it.

Lou glad your feeling better and hope you got on ok with your visitor yesterday.

Karen i know i am looking for a new job but dont think i could sell phones all day.

well must go and sort tea out and a early night for me must get up early tomorrow for my special day, i have had a load of cards come and have been very good and not opened any of them.
