Grandparents

My Sophie was 6 on Friday (spoke to her via the webcam before she left for school and I headed up to Shifnal)
They had a parade after a very sucessful book week. They all went in fancy dress (Sophie was Ariel, the Mermaid)
It was also Grandparents day - shame we are so far away but i have a video of her singing this song



This is a dedication to the older generation
And we're not going to stop till we've thanked each nan and pop.

I like bouncing round my grandma's bed,
I like tinkering in grandpa's shed,
Some play bowls and some do lot of knitting
But they all take turns doing lots of babysitting.

Grandparents have a lot of different names
Some are pretty fit and in the Masters games
Some play tennis and some are now quite slow
And some have stacks of lollies and they
usually don't say no!

Grandparents rule, well for goodness sakes
They've been round long enough to learn from their mistakes
Grandparents rule and aren't we glad
It is because of them that we've got our Mum and Dad.....

They have Grandparents day in SOUH AFRICA too.Shame your so far away I hate being so fare away from my folks and brother and family . lexie

My 3 always send my parents a card on Grandparents day over here ( It's around Sept 26th)
