Guess what..........we are going to be grandparents!!!

Yip!
I can now officially announce it!
Alan's eldest son and his partner are expecting a baby!
It was so lovely because Alan and I have always had a bet on
Whoever's child produced the first grandchild then that person had to have a purple rinse
Mad I know!
Anyway I started laughing at Alan with a purple rinse when Alan's son turned round and said ' I don;t know what you are laughing at, it is your Crandchild too!'
I cried my eyes out!
He didn't need to do that and I felt that all the hard work I had put in to trying to be a good Stepmum had been worth it
He then asked me if I would like to be known as Grandma Hallett!
I cried yet again and Alan had very wet eyes as well
I, of course, said I would be honoured

Congratulations You will enjoy being a grandparent, I know I do he he

Congratulations Scotty, due you know when it's due, I wish my son Daniel would provide me with a grandaughter.

Oh how lovely, you will have the time of your life, and you seem to enjoy them more, I have watched mine grow and to see them turn into little ladies and gentlemen is great, mind you you worry like heck about them just as much as your own. ENJOY. Janet

Lovely news, it was my first time last year, our daughter Elissa and her hubby Tony had a little girl kaitlyn after trying for over 6 years,and then 3 months later our son Dean and his wife Emma had a son Jake, thats 2 in one year. not bad.
They are now 16 months and 13 months.

When I told my own 'children' they were all so happy too
Just hope it might inspire them
I cannot believe how relationships between the two families have blossomed
The poor thing will have 7 Aunties and Uncles from it's Dad's side alone and that is not including their partners!!!!

Congratulations on your news Alan & you will love it.

First you have your children and struggle to bring them up. Then you have the grandchildren! Your life is so different by then. You & Alan will be able to spoil them rotten and give them all the things you wanted to give your own children.

Enjoy them Alan & Sadie, they bring so much love & pleasure to your life.

My four are now 14, 7, (2 boys) 15mths & 13 mths (2 girls). I wouldn't be without them.
