Hospital just phoned to cancel operation - AGAIN
Keith is so down.. I am upset for him as I know how ready he is to go in. Apparently they cant get hold of the 'Specialist Equipment' they need. They have known now for 2 weeks he was going in, why wait until the evening before

I had a thought about this sometime ago there was something brought out which said if an operation is cancelled 'x'x amount of times then you can complain and get it done privately, not 100% certain on details Karen but should be worth looking into it, cold comfort that it has to be cancelled a few times but if the hospital know you are looking into it they might try and move things along

Thank you for that Jan... still no word and I am slowly losing patience with them - I know I have said this before. But in this day and age, they shouldnt be chasing around the country for whatever it is they are chasing... its a BIG teaching hospital after all, not a little country cottage hospital. Going to ring again today, and definitely want answers. Will just mention that I have heard that after 3 cancellations we are entitled to go private... will have to see what happens. Meantime Keith is still in pain and they dont have to see him struggle with simple everyday tasks.
