Morning...

well halfway through the week and almost halfway through the month!!
Children are here waiting patiently to go to school, after I have delivered them to school - will pop into mum's as she has some men from the council going in to sort out the Boiler - I have called them out loads of times, they 'repair' it but soon after it starts smelling again.
Looks cold and frosty out, so not looking forward to the walk up to school.
Have a lovely day, take care and stay safe xx

Good morning Karen and all who follow Very Happy Thought I was going to have a day to myself today but Martin got a text to say the school is closed again today What a Face We had a couple of inches of snow overnight and is still snowing hard Mad I am so fed up of it. I wrote out a shopping list for Martin last night as our cupboards are getting quite empty - he said he would go to the shop on the way home from work. The cars are, once again, getting stuck in our road so won't be getting the car out. He has said he will walk down but then it limits what he can carry back. It has been good for the kitchen cupboards though as I have had a good sort out, using things that may have been left and thrown out eventually Shocked Sally phoned late Monday night, she was in the middle of watching tv, there was a noise on her roof, and her tv went off. The snow had fallen off her roof and knocked the satellite dish off the wall, hanging by the wire. The man came to fix it yesterday - £35 call out, and it would have been £30 to put it back on the wall but when he looked it had smashed the front. He tried it out but tried to work then went off again so it was a new dish. So it has cost her landlady £130 What a Face She is hoping that is the 3rd thing now since her landlady went away, they still havent had the roof fixed because it hasnt been clear apart from yesterday but it is covered again now. Hope your Mum gets her boiler fixed Karen, it shouldn't smell Neutral it should be sealed. Enjoy your day ladies whatever you are doing. I am going to have a tidy up in my craft room before starting on another card Very Happy

Just got back from school and quite pleased I am back home safe. The roads and paths are sheer black ice.
So take care if going out today - I have to go back up to collect the children so am hoping it thaws a bit. Trouble is we are supposed to be having more snow Mad

Good morning Jacky and Karen and all who follow. Had about two inches of snow again last night and still snowing even though the met office forecast for Fleet says it hasn't snowed at all! So glad I got the car sorted yesterday - would not have been fun taking it in today! Off now to make a big pan of mince and another of soup.

Good morning ladies i was up bright and early but felt a little poorly when hubby had gone to work. Feel a bit better now, my goodness i thought i was dancing on ice when i took Gregory up to school it was an hour later than normal because of the icy conditions. Im staying in now till its time to pick him up. Be careful out and wrap up warm . Hugs to the poorlies.

Hope Jen is happy now! She's probably the only one judging by your comments. I'm not panicking, just very frustrated and slightly anxious.

My mood's like the snow - coming down fast! Another 3" of the white stuff and still going strong. Clive took the bus out at 6.15 and got stuck (ungritted roads..........again) so dug and spun his way home and cancelled the school run. Rain due Thursday and Friday so I'm praying it will thaw again before Saturday. Hope our Iain managed to get his car out of the drive and park it just off the main road and that the motorways are cleared (big problems on the M25 near us earlier) if not, we may need to fork out for a hired car like last year. I see Gatwick was closed again but Heathrow isn't too bad.

At least I've finally cleared the craft room and made a couple more cards. Haven't seen this much of my desk since I moved in there last June. Clive's off to see if conditions have improved and to buy some toothpaste - funny the things you run of! If the main road has been gritted he might do his afternoon job - the boss isn't too pleased but then he has a 4 wheel drive and doesn't have the same problems near Redhill. We got a lot more being on the top of the North Downs.

No not yet Sue, had the first one with the glue but waiting for the cd now and don't expect anything today either Crying or Very sad Cant remember not having post because of the weather before last year, except we got ours last year as we had a postman 2 doors down who delivered it for us. The bin men have been normal - we were lucky yesterday as the roads were thawing because I dont think they would have got here today Very Happy

Feeling a bit happier now as the snow has finally stopped and is even thawing a bit on the road (will freeze tonight but warmer weather and rain due in the next few days) The main roads have been gritted so Clive has gone to do his afternoon runs - to and from sports centre and an office/station run at 5.30

Our neighbour opposite has offered to take us to Heathrow if Iain can't get here so that's a huge weight off my mind and it will save us £60! I'll bring him back a nice bottle of Aussie wine as a thank you.

Hope the postman get through soon Jacky. We've had post every day this week, bless him but no refuse collection, though they took the paper/card recycling stuff.

Going to watch Neighbours and Home and away to get me into the Aussie mood then back to my clean and tidy craft room to make some ATCs to take with me for swapping. here's another side-step card I made earlier

Hi all,

May not be around much for the next few days.... my rheumatology dept are trying to arrange an emergency epidural for me. Sister Walsh phoned me this morning and said she will book one as soon as there is a slot free.... can't come soon enough!

Got about 3 hours sleep last night.... maybe I'll manage more tonight, who knows!

Not in the mood for being online I'm afraid, just feel more comfy laying on sofa.

Take care all, will be back soon I hope x

Hope you get that emergency epidural soon Lou.

Good news here......................... the snow is melting a little and I can see a tiddly bit of road again.

Temperature in Adelaide has settled to a comfortable 25 degrees.......bring it on.

The massage and pummling yesterday seem to have agravated my hamstring but nothing that won't soon improve with rest and heat. Going to try to walk to Slimming Club tonight. The last one was cancelled and I have a free day to keep me on track. Its only a 5 minutes away and Clive insists on walking with me to keep me safe...........bless him.

I may persuade him to take me up in the school bus.
