Morning... been awhile since I have been first on!!

oooohh... its a bit foggy out! Hasnt lifted at all this morning.

Well another busy day.... Mum has an appointment at the Hospital to get the results of the CT scan (even though we know the results already) Keith is going for Physio today, not feeling too good from the Pain clinic yesterday, and then this afternoon he has to go to the Job Centre for an Interview (bearing in mind, his job is still open for him) this is to see if he needs any training or courses to go on (personally I think its a waste of time and money)

Yesterday mum had lots of visitors at the home. I went in the morning... Amy called in from school for 10 minutes, then 2 of Mums friends turned up. Must admit she does seem settled, its just that I dont like leaving her in there.

Right... another coffee and then flick the duster around.

Good morning Karen and all who follow. Glad to hear your mum has settled in ok Karen, it is such a relief when they are happy were they are Very Happy I agree with you that it is a waste of time and money to go on a course if he doesn't need it. Mad Don't work too hard.

I have got my friends funeral today, going with 2 of the girls I worked with.

Sorry a bit late this morning, might just queeze this in before lunchtime!

Been down to Tesco this morning (well I had to get the scooter out as I still can't make it up the school) so I thought I would pop down and buy Ady (hubby) a birthday cake for monday.... got him a STIG one! Coz he loves Top Gear... I love Richard Hammond (but not for same reason!)

Glad your mum has settled well Karen x

Hugs for you today Jacky x

Managed to get some bargains in Tesco, got a gorgeous pair of jeans for my eldest for £2.... some for my youngest for £2.25 and a pair of boots for her too at only £8! Oh I love a good bargain! Emily's last pair of school shoes the sole fell off yesterday, she is a nightmare, a right tomboy who couldn't care less about scuffing and wrecking her clothes and shoes! My eldest is totally the oposite, primping and preening herself! They both went to the school disco last night, Georgia with her lippy on and a pretty halter neck top..... Emily came back (she went there looking nice .... honest!) looking like a right old tramp!

Righty ho... better vamoosh!

Hugs for any poorlies x Be back later xxxxx

Afternoon ladies. Have spent the best part of the day trying to set up a Sony DVD recorder. Twisted Evil Think I need an honours degree in gobbledygook and electronics!! Why can't they write the manuals in simple English!

Well I have heard it all now!!!
Just got back, Keith has informed me that the Job Centre has offered him... wait for it, remember he has had 9 broken ribs with 21 multiple fractures....

Free membership to a Gym

Dont think he will take them up on the offer, they will get the money back from the measly £60 that they expect us to live on. Beyond a joke really.

That is just a ridiculous idea - what has that got to do with finding a job too.

Ahh, that's where all our taxes go - gym membership! Never mind education, roads (which are more like dodgem rides every day with trying to miss potholes), care for the elderly and other useful public services. So which politician owns the chain of gyms, then? Sorry Karen, not trying to make light of the situation, but I can see them sitting at their computer screen with a flow chart working through this with Keith and coming up with this potty answer.

Sorry, I'll get off my soapbox now. Government departments are my least favourite, with HMRC right at the top!

Sue - instruction manuals are a test - the perception is most people don't read them (regardless of gender), so I firmly believe they just write what they want; if it make sense, it's an added bonus! (I've noticed of late, they tend to be translated from other languages to English and there are some weird and wonderful sentence structures!) My personal hate is the ones with just diagrams and arrows - argh!

hi all

Jacky hope every thing went ok today.

Karen derek still has to sign on every other week even though he hasnt had any money off them since dec, and they keep sending for him to go to meetings, and when he was diaganoised (SP) with his AMD they said will it interfer with him signing on, so if he has to go for treatment on the day he should sign on what is he supposed to do, tell the hospital sorry cant come today i have to sign on dont think so.
so karen anything they say now dosnt surprise me.

Am having a day out tomorrow with my daughter has its her birthday on sunday so that will be nice, am hoping to go to a garden centre with a craft shop there.

right have a nice night
take care

Evening ladies and gentleman Smile The only thing I can think of Karen is that they might have meant it for your hubby to go to the gym for physio type exercises to enable him to be fit for work sooner. Just guessing though it could mean anything with this government's policies. Sad

Hugs and positive vibes for all, especially those who are poorly Smile
