Near the end of Thursday

What happened to Mikki this morning, just realised there was no Thursday posting Hope everyone has had a good day. I actually did a little bit more towards making a Christmas card but Martin wasn't at work today. We decided to do a trial 5 mile walk as we have to head one for the U3A group in February. It was a lovely day - we did get lost a little bit so will have to do a bit of it again to make sure we know the way. A member of another group gave us the instructions and we do know where we went wrong Saw this beautiful heron on the pond

Where did you go? Bet the fish didn't think he was beautiful though!

Just up the road by Pineridge golf course - in the Frimley Fuel Allotments. We could walk it from our house but we started off in Frimley Green.

They are such beautiful birds
We always liken them to a terradactyl when they are in flight
Just hope they stick to fishing in the pond and don't come our way

I saw a few pics in one of the daily papers
a couple of weeks ago where a Heron
caught a baby rabbit drown it and then
swallowed it whole

I never did find out where they were, but Pineridge golf club I know very well. I met Roy there at a singles club and work used to have Christmas lunch there and then go bowling afterwards

They are beind the golf course Sue. We usually go in almost opposite the entrance to Tomlinscote School - they are very big

Ahh! Not where I thought they were at all! Somehow I always thought they were nearer Frimley Green - off Lake Road.

The do go over that far Sue. We started and finished our walk today from Frimley Green Rec. Ground. Walked across the playing fields and came out in St. Catherines Road, went up there for a little while then cut across the road into the MOD land which leads into the fuel allotments. Walked around passed Tomlinscote and ended up back at Frimley Green. We did 4.9 miles according to Martins GPS thingy

What a lovely walk. I used to love walking around that area when I lived down there

It was funny to see the wee heads popping up when the parents went back to the nest
