Sunday...........

Well here I am, first in and raring to go!

The reason for my early arrival was because of some scrote teenagers going along my road killing wing mirrors At 5.15am this morning I heard a ruckus outside and woke Ady up, got to the window and saw a lad mouthing off about how the (naughty word) car had hurt him I mean, he had just tried to knock the flippin wing mirror off...... so I am blooming glad he will have a few bruises!!!!!

Only one other neighbour woke up, so while Ady went along the street checking the cars, he phoned the old bill, who I must admit impressed me and came within 15 minutes...... we gave him basic info (guess who didn't have her specs on ) and he drove off looking for the little hoodlums..... came back half hour later and said they had carried on doing it along 3 other streets and in total about 20 cars had been had a go at and 8 in total they had managed to rip the wing mirrors off, 5 more were damaged, the rest were ok! THe police man said that they had spent half the early hours chasing two other youths doing the exact same thing along one of the main roads here and they had now got them in custody..... so he was gutted to see there were more kids in the gang that had escaped them

Still, our car was one of the lucky ones, the car that HURT the imbecile kid was parked next to ours, and if I hadn't yelled something unrepeatable at the kid, ours would have been next in line but luckily at that time of the morning I am sufficiently scary!!!

S we will wait to see what happens I suppose, they have taken a short statement from me and my neighbour and have stuck notices on all the cars.....

It started off here wet and miserable... now its sunshine and rain!!!
Usual sunday stuff for me... first time in a few weeks I have cooked sunday lunch, what with being away and then out for lunch last week. Not sure what we are having for pud though!

what is the mentality of these youths, I just can't understand the pleasure they get from destroying things, glad they got a couple even if it wasn't the ones in your road. Thank goodness they didn't get yours too

Good morning Lou, Karen and all who follow, now that I have climbed down from the ceiling Had a lovely evening last night at the school quiz night - with Ian & Ruth, Sally and Ruth's 2 sisters. Of course, we didn't win, but did come 6th but a lot of geography based questions which none of us were very good at. One question said there are two elements with an 'x' in the name - having 2 children with science degrees I thought we should get that one, they got xenon but couldn't get the other one. None of us knew anything about chemistry apart from them so didn't even think about it - the answer oxygen Doh! They were both going through the periodic table for which oxygen is apparently just O.

I am going to make a roast for dinner too Karen, can't remember the last time I made one The weather is a bit cooler so can put the oven on Enjoy your day whatever you are doing today, hugs to those who need one. Lou make sure you don't overdo it

they will carry on doing things like that until there is a sufficient punishment inflicted on them.

Hello everyone , how you all doing ?
W e had a lovely time at my friends wedding yesturday , very low key and intermate with a big south african style bbq( braai ) and the most gorgous wedding cake made by another of my friends , loads of fresh fruit strawberries , blackberries , raspberries , blackcurrants , blueberries and cream and no calories well thats what Iam told and friends would'nt lie o me would they ????
Going to Leeds tomorrow with Sandy from the 'Barn .Make and takes of all the new products from Craftwork Cards , whose products I adore ! So I'll let you know what the day is like , I'll have to be up at 5AM ! :affraid:Which is the middle of the night for me !

Lexie, all those lovely fruits and no calories (not mentioning the cream) we got some new potatoes and runner beans from our garden today, the first ones we have grown Brought back memories of dad's allotments, they were really tasty. Also had our first tomatoes of the year yesterday - there were 6 ripe ones and they were so sweet and yummy. Decided to just grow the little cherry tomatoes this year as they don't take up so much space.
