Jan.. so pleased you had a good lunch yesterday... and you didnt do much talking hmmmmm....

Well at long last Keith has agreed the fish pond is getting too much for him - we cleaned it out last night and he said he thought it best if we get rid. Its not an 'in the ground' pond.. its a built up one, so can be very awkward. So got to find homes for the fishies and then can decide what to do with that part of the garden.

Dont know where all these torrential downpours are... certainly not in Nottinghamshire!
Its nice and sunny again.

It has been tipping it down for the last half hour but the sun is coming out and, apart from the trees dripping excessively, its nearly dry enough to venture out. Clives taking a coach load to Eastbourne today so I've got the house to myself.

Hoping my sunglasses will be ready to collect later so I plan a quick trip to Epsom. Laid out the stuff for packing so now its time to open the craft room door and clear up all the stuff I dumped on the floor after Monday's class.

Well it's been high drama here this morning.... anyone would think my eldest was never going to clap eyes on her teacher Mr Toy ever again I tried pointing out to her that she would be home in time each day to come and collect Emily with me if she wanted from September but she was inconsolable!! Oh the stress of being an 11yr old!!! I told her at one point that we couldn't ADOPT HIM!!!!! She asked why not? LOL

Emily is still poorly, she also now has a bunged up nose and sore throat, just to add insult to injury. I phoned the docs last night and the wee result was being sent to the main hospital for investigation so I now need to phone up after 4pm today to see if there is any news! She has gone into school, she was no way going to miss the last day bless her.

They both went to the school disco last night....and OMG they looked sooooo grown up!!!

Anyways......enough waffle from me....

Looks like the trip to Epsom is off. I've emailed the opticain to find out where my glasses (which should have been ready last Thursday) have disappeared to.

The lame excuse is "we've just contacted the lab and they are in tinting and we'll have them tomorrow for you to collect" - These are not even varifocals either, just single lens.

It is really torrential here at the moment, dunno where it all come from! It was sunny and warm when I took the girls to school!!! The playground was jam packed with all the Year 6's writing messages on each others school t-shirts in marker pens! Thought that was a great idea!

That optician is just not good enough!!! Give em some earache Jane !

HERE!! Had to sit in the car for ages before I could get out this morning as it was just a sheet of water comig down.

Jane if you've ordered prescription sunglasses I don't think they should be tinting them afterwards! Just been back with my new glasses for adjustment as I found they seemed to be out of focus when I was reading. Hope this adjustment works!

Lou the girls look lovely.

Karen - shame you have to lose the pond but they are quite a lot of work. I inherited one when I moved in here but it's only about 12" deep and had 3 very large koi carp in. I managed to rehome them somewhere better and now it just has a fountain and a few plants ( and lots of frogs and newts!) Cat would eat the fish if I put little ones in!

Those glasses were quite cheap and not' reactolite' or 'transition' so we'll see!

Popped into Epsom between the showers after all and glad I did - M&S sale was on and I got 2 great tops for less than a tenner and a couple of bits for the girls at less than half price - ldeal as it will soon be Spring/summer for them.

Off to aqua soon then really must clear up the craft room again - I know, I've been meaning to do it since Monday, but it will be done before we go away.

Got an acknowledgement from the hospital saying my letter has been passed on to the consultant so hopefully I'll get clarification soon.

Well the torrential downpour has arrived with avengence!! The clouds are bumping into each other as well!!

Lou, the girls look lovely and you have every right to be proud of them, it is scary how quickly they seem to grow up
though.
Not at work today have had a lot of pain with a tooth since last week, which was finally removed yesterday afternoon
but it put up a fight and has left me rather swollen and bruised and with a lovely tension headache, but hopefully once
all that subsides it should be okay.

The Sun is here at the moment and we would like to keep it so no sending it on down the south coast Lou!!

Lou, now you have your car & satnav you will have to get Ady to take you to the Crafty Cow one weekend and
maybe a few of us can come along and join you for a piece of cake and a cuppa in the cafe next door!

Was raining when I went to Aqua but now its blustery and the sun is shing - might put some washing out as I can't see any black clouds approaching.

Bit late on here today had to go shopping first thing this morning as I couldn't go yesterday, the parcel eventually showed up at 6.00pm I had to sit in the car for ages before I could get into the shop as it was chucking it down. Got the shopping then had to wait to come out again. I left the house in sunshine and the shop is only 5 mins drive away. Got home and had to quickly get ready for my lunch with my friends. We went to Barton Mill at Old Basing and had a lovely time. Had to do a card this afternoon so that I can post it tomorrow for my brother-in-law just got a wedding card and a birth card to do now but both of them are for August Off to bed now, Martin has to go into work again tomorrow as it's the end of the year dinner
