Morning!

Bit of a change in the weather... not cold out, but its dark and dismal!
Not sure what we are doing today - but if we dont go out, have plenty to keep me occupied today.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

Good morning Karen and all who follow Very Happy Been busy farming and making this card I was making a couple of days ago. Just stopped for let my fingers recover Laughing Martin has gone for a little ride on his motor bike and I am just going to go down and get myself a cuppa and carry on with this card. It's such a simple one but keep getting distracted. After I have harvested all my farms, that is it until I get my Christmas cards done Neutral maybe.

Enjoy your day, hugs to those who need one today Very Happy

Morning ladies - well it was when I started typing! Been watching the new Cricut Imagine on C & C. Don't hink I want one though - even if money was no object. The cartridges they showed seemed a bit cartoony!
Jacky I said exactly the same about farming etc and Christmas cards - made 19 so far! Only another 60 or so to go What a Face

Well I have just read the last 4 days but am a bit upset and not taking much in.....

We took Rolo to the Vetinary Orptician/Eye Specialist this morning and we have had some crappy news.....

They says he is already blind in his right eye and the left is going the same way We knew his right eye was milky but we never imagined he was blind because he manages so well

His right eye started to go milky and also the pupils weren't contracting properly in certain light. Sometimes his eyes are still huge black holes even when its bright sunshine..... Turns out he has a cataract in the right eye but this was not his only problem..... he has a degenerative eye disease and it has totally destroyed the sight in the right eye and the left is following suit.

They have taken blood tests to give him a general healthcheck and also some to check his vitamin E levels as on a rare occasion a low level can mimic this eye problem and if he has a low level we could at least stop it from progressing further. She does not think this is the case though... she feels it is a degenerative eye problem (collies can suffer with it... although not too common) she did offer us an electrical signal sight test which would confirm one way or the other but it costs £500 and involves an anaestetic... I told her I don't care about the money but Rolo doesn't fare very well after anaestetic.... and she said it was not really necessary as she was pretty sure of her diagnosis.

So the long and the short of it is... I have a half blind dog with arthritis, hip dysplaysia and the rest of his sight is on its way too........ Poor baby.....

Sorry for a moan but am really upset......

Also as you know we have been up to our eyeballs decorating Emily's bedroom this week.....

I have totally overdone it and can barely move my arms above my shoulder height at the moment... but am still glad that I at least did my share.

We have painted the ceiling (2 coats) painted the new coving (3 coats) painted the old coving (2 coats), done a wallpaper mural over a full wall (fairytale) then wallpapered the remaining walls with a starburst white paper which we have then emulsioned lilac. Ady and Georgia are in the process of putting the second coat on now whilst me and Emily are vegging in the lounge (whilst being on here and preparing a roast Pork Dinner).... then we still have to cut and fit the skirting boards, rub down the door (will be taken off and done outside) and the undercoat all the framework, skirting boards and doors x 2 and then gloss them. Then I am going to metal prime her metal bed and gloss it mauve. Then we have to construct a built in wardrobe and hang 2 blinds.......

So... yes... we have been busy! I am shattered... Ady will be relieved to get back to work tomorrow I reckon! We have had no peace or days out this week at all and its been very tiring.

Hugs for anyone who is feeling poorly....

Emily has this dratted cold and is feeling rather crappy so sympathy to anyone with the same. Georgia is on antibiotics..... ingrown toenail has gone infected and she is on a big big dose..... 4 times a day and has to go back for more after the 2 bottles he gave her is finished if it hasn't totally cleared up..... he has also said that she may have to have them 'done ' if it happens again.... which is what we have been warning her all along. Hopefully she will listen this time, cut her nails properly and not try to hide it if one gets sore (which is what she did this time...silly girl)

Message for Jan/Cubbie...... Re Crafty Betsey....... that was her forum name on Imagenation but I never knew what her surname was and I'm not sure what she looked like!

Weird you bringing her up cos I told Shell off the other day for not watermarking her creations... and I reminded her that there are some dishonest peeps out there that copy your photos and pass them off as their own work! (aha.... did u see my comment on facebook?... the penny drops!!!) Now Shell the cheeky madam, emails me all her pics to go on her blog/facebook and I put her watermark on them cos she can't get her lappy to work the programme she has!! So I shot myself in the foot there! LOL

Will ask some of my crafty friends if they know more about her and report back!!!

Sorry to hear about Rolo Lou. Think he needs some hugs/strokes and you and the girls definitely need some. Hope you all feel a bit better soon. Bet the bedroom will look good when it's finished.

Huge hugs to you, Emily and Georgia Lou - and of course poor Rolo. I am sure he will manage as he has a good nose to help him, Molly can only see shadows now but she still manages to chase a ball, although she loses it more often but finds it with her nose Very Happy You have been a busy lot and I bet Ady will be glad of the rest when he goes back to work Laughing but it will all be worth it when it is finished.

I don't know how to put a watermark on my cards, will have to investigate my programme, I have never thought of it before.
