Happy Monday !

Hope you all had a good weekend and everyones preperations are going to plan! Micky decided that as the last 2 years we've had a real tree and that we have ended up having to chop a load off we'd use a fake tree he had in the loft.... I was'nt too happy but thought ok we'll see what the tree is like apparently I had 2 to choose from , strange I thought as he told me he'd thrown all the decs away after Jean died ...... up into the loft he goes and guess what no tree or trees , so Iam happy I can have a real tree but if I can't find a decent sized one Even I might go for the fake option !
Cards written , gifts wrapped , lists completed so Iam now ready for the mighty food shop.... the bit I hate , don't want to do it tooo early or leave it last min , when is everyone else doing theirs ????

My friend Kate had a baby boy on saturday morning, Joseph .He is gorgous .Sadly another friend of mine , Ben in South Africa died on saturday , he was only 51 and had Motor Neurons Disease , he has a fab wife and 2 delightful boys , he was a great person who coped amazing ly well with a awful , awful disease .
Great that Matt won X Factor , and SCD final will be hot ! all my favs in it ! speak soon x

Morning Lexie, Andrea and all who follow. Haven't been on much as we had our Christmas Fayre at school on Friday and I was busy getting things ready for that as I am the Chair of the Friends/PTA. I have also had a busy weekend with kids back and forth rehearsing for the church Nativity play. It was very good and there wasn't a dry eye in the church yesterday morning.

Kayleigh didn't have a very good night last night so I will have to dose her up with medicine before she goes to school. She can't miss this week as it's when they get to do the fun things. Josh has his school party this afternoon so will have to get some things ready for that in a min.

Haven't been online at all since Thursday and have missed you all..... won't go into details as I'll bore you rigid... suffice to say it aint been a great few days

Yesterday was my Georgia's 12th Birthday so maxed out on pain relief I tried to make it good for her.... she says she had a lovely time... x

Been to the hossy today... was hoping for a steroid injection but they say its too soon so gotta try and carry on.

Hope everyone is ok..... this will probably be a short visit as can already feel shoulder stressing just from this little bit of typing!

Hi all,
On the way to mil on sunday we were crashed into from behind was scared ridged at the time as Kian was singin in the back and Latisha and cameron were chatting and it went deadly silent, my heart was in my mouth, i managed to get out but was in intense pain in my back and going down tops of legs, checked on the kids while Chris went to see the car and driver!!!!! Stupid stupid women!!! she said she was trying to see around the corner as its a bad one ERRMMM no its not a straight road for a while then turns into a bend, leving you loads of time to pull out, WHEN the car in front of you has gone. But we were still there and she just kept going straight into us. Thankfully the kids are ok really shaken up obviously and a little bit of wipe lash< but ohh my back was in tears and had to have hot water bottle and tablets as soon as we got to mil. The car is dented in the bumper and scratched, so needs fixing we got all details etc so will have to get it sorted.
We had a lovely time seeing everyone which was really lovely and had photos of the 5 generations and cant wait to see the photos mil will send them to me when she can. Chris and T.J still got this cough and cold really bad, and poor Kian has been a little restless with his ear infection and cutt teeth but still no sign of them lol bless him. Just want the pain to go as led in bed as soon as we got home and going to the doctors today. And have just had a phone call one of the ladys i work for has had to let me go as there hours are cut, oh dear they say it comes in 3's oh dear.

Had a busy day myself. Mum pressed her lifeline button and the office phoned me. Went down at 7.00 this morning, she was ok, just a bit worried about me. When I got there she was looking for her iron. Told her I had borrowed it and I would do her ironing for her.
She has gone off to Daycare a bit reluctantly, but I really needed to go to into town. Anyway, she went and I managed to get into town. Got my Iceland delivery coming soon. For the first time I have bought a Turkey crown. Usually Keith's boss gets our Turket, but nothing being mentioned - so rather that leave it till christmas eve and end up with beans on toast with brussel sprouts (urgh!!) I have bought a crown. Trouble is when we have a big turkey, we have it for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 6 weeks!!! (not quite.. but ykwim) this year it will be used all in one day.
Keith had to go to the Drs this morning... he is struggling with a chest infection. I am still coughing, doesnt hurt... just annoying. Fortunately Amy is much better.

Sorry to hear about your 'crash' Juli hope you are all OK now.

Hope the turkey arrives safely Karen. We love cold turkey but my tiny freezer won't hold one so ours is already cooked, sliced and frozen in 3-4 portions boxes (several) so it can be thawed and reheated as and when we want some.

Just back from my last aerobics class before Christmas - had a swim (up to 12 lengths again) then a nice session in the sauna and steamroom.

Made 40 quick Christmas cards for friends at church and special friends - got a nice Chritmas crib scene which I embossed in gold, mounted on mirri card then onto a piece of gold prited vellum. Didn't think the Christmas bears were quite right for the vicars and their families!

Oh my goodness, what a lot of stories Hugs to you Julie, what a fright. Hope your back is ok. Lou, hugs to you too, you sound in a bad way again, hope you get better soon. Andrea, so glad you managed to get to your aerobics today Karen, hope Keith gets rid of his chest infection before Christmas is upon you.

Oh dear, Martin has just come upstairs with some awful news Sally has just phoned to say that Gregs father has just passed away. He went to sleep and didn't wake up. She had only phoned about 10 mins ago to ask us to go back to her house to get her Christmas decorations out of her loft after badminton tonight and Greg has phoned her to ask her if she will go round there. So glad they are still very close although no longer together as he would have had no-one to turn to.

You snuck in there Jane, your Christmas cards sound very nice. I have resorted to buying some charity cards from Oxfam this morning, for the people we never see but don't want to forget and who only occasionally have my hand made ones.

Its always worse when someone dies at Christmas time , another woman I know her mum in her late 70's , fit as a fiddle had been clearing snow and slipped bumped her head a nd never regained conscious , Kim is devestated .Glad Greg has got Sally , how sad .

Oh Lexie, how devastating All of Greg's friends are in Afghanistan, luckily he hadn't gone because he is on a course in January so at least he is there for his mum. He has been given compassionate leave. Sally says they seem to be coping ok at the moment but it will hit them later. Apparently it was Saturday morning when he was found and they contacted Greg to come home and they let him go immediately.
