Monday
Morning...
Its a cold and frosty morning here, but at least it bright and sunny.
Not sure what I am doing today, I am literally counting down the days till Amy's wardrobe is fitted - I cant find any of my stuff, I had a clear out of some of her cuddly toys - but there is still a pile of them left. Ones I really cant get rid of.
Have a good day xx

Re: Monday
Good morning Karen and all who follow Bit dismal and overcast here, but not cold. Builder turned up at 7.45 and is still sat waiting for the skip to arrive before he does anything. He isn't happy as he ordered it to be delivered early so he got up early to make sure he was there when it came.
Just got the inserts to do for my cards and then I think I had better give this room a quick tidy before I get lost under all the stuff I have out but who knows, I may even change my mind again. Martin is off playing golf today and then tonight we are going to see Corrie the stage show.

Morning Karen, Jacky and all who follow. It's cold but sunny here today. I have 2 loads of washing to put out so hopefully it will dry. Josh is still in a bit of pain but he wanted to go into school today so I have let him.
Jacky I hope the skip arrives soon so that the builder can get started. Have a good time tonight.
(((HUGS))) to anyone who needs them
Have a good day whatever you are doing

Re: Monday
Morning ladies nice and sunny again here. Going to do a bit of tidying up in the garden later as its garden waste collection this week and as I have to pay extra for that:evil: like to make sure they have something to collect and they've forecast rain for later this week
Glad Josh is on the mend.
Jacky my neighbour has a skip - again! if yours hasn't turned up!
Karen hope your mum doesn't catch the carers cold.
You stroppy Lou - Never! Enjoy your card making. Must fill in my census form today as well. It's on my "to do" list which seems to get longer and longer.

I was perfectly fine till I saw Jacky said I was stroppy yesterday Karen, so I thought I might as well live up to it!!!
Re: Monday
I just rang up my local Mobility Care Centre to ask how much it would cost to supply and replace two batteries plus give it a service....... wait for it
£148 for the two 12v batteries
£15 to fit them
£55 for the service
£20 for collection/delivery back to you
so thats £238
So I did a bit of surfing..... found a User Manual for my scooter which tells ya how to replace batteries and then found two batteries for £94 delivered and am gonna do it myself (with Ady's help!)
I phoned the shop back and asked if I supplied the batteries would they fit them and she said no!!!! She said the shop can't guarantee the work, well I says the batteries are the thing thats guaranteed for the year, not the flippin 5 minutes it takes to put em on!!!
As for the Service, I am gonna clean up all the bits and give em a squirt of oil (cos the manual tells you where to) whilst I have it's soul laid bare on my carpet!!!

Re: Monday
Lou... I must say ... you do have a way with words
I think I could do with a squirt of that oil! Just been chopping up amy's carpet, and it was hard work... but I am like Edward Scissorhand with the old stanley knife! Made my back ache a bit. Had to hoover the floor as the backing was dust when I was taking it up .... yuk
