Sunny Saturday

Good morning all.

Had a lovely BBQ last night at Sally's. Her boyfriend is really nice and he and Martin didn't stop talking all evening They have so many interests the same and I found out his Mum makes all her own cards I asked him what sort, stamping etc. and he looked blank and says they are usually in layers Could be decoupage. Sally said she would have been worried if he had known the answer to that one. I had a phone call Thurs afternoon for Martin. It was his Insurance agent for his Motor Bike and they said he had won a draw which they had held on Wednesday to a motor bike event this weekend. They wanted to know if we could use the tickets as to whether it was worth them sending them. When I asked where it is she said Cheltenham What a coincidence as we were going to see Mum this weekend. So Martin and my BIL will go to the motor bike event while I see Mum tomorrow.

Shed is empty, garage cleared - just left mower, essential tools and a couple of pots of paints and the loft is empty (apart from a mattress and large firguard tucked away in the corner - can't get them through the hatch!

Drove down to Rehill this morning to take the knitting machine to its new home. All the garden furniture has found new homes - no-where to sit and enjoy the sun now. Off to Kingston now to browse for the afternoon and maybe a boat ride or walk along the riverbank while Clive goes to footie!

Hope you have had a good time. I have quickly made a card using my cd images for my G.Nephew so that I can take it to Cheltenham with me and the decoupage won't get squashed in the post.

Thames tow path was manic and all the boats full so did plenty of window shopping then spent some cash instead - stocking up on M&S underwear etc. and a couple of long leisurely coffees in John Lewis. Beautiful afternoon.

Going to settle down with a glass of wine and watch Mama Mia tonight then an early night after last night's disturbed sleep.
