Tuna Fish Loaf
2 x 7oz tins of tuna (or salmon)
3 ozs of white breadcrumbs
2 eggs
1/4 pint of milk
1 small onion finely chopped
1/2 cup celery finely chopped
1dessertsp vinegar
salt and pepper
Put breadcrumbs in a bowl add eggs and milk and mix. Strain tuna and add to the mixture. Then add the onion, celery, vinegar and seasoning. Mix well. Put in a well greased loaf tin and press down. Bake at approx 180C for 45 - 60 mins until browned on top and firm to touch. Let cool then turn out and serve sliced with salad.

Thanks... I think I will try it - will have to use salmon though. Amy and like tuna, but Keith doesnt. Does sound nice.

Oooh that does sound nice. I will use tuna as I'm not that keen on salmon Mum used to give us salmon sandwiches with tinned peaches and evaporated milk afterwards for our Sunday tea Don't like either - love fresh peaches but tinned ones - yuk.

I have to admit that although the recipe says you can use salmon I have only ever used tuna

We always had tinned fruit and vap milk at my Great Aunts on a Sunday afternoon, used to dunk our bread it it yummy Lol

Recipe sounds lovely.... what are you lot like ah !
( But do remember staying with my godmother and having tinned peaches that had bits on put me off for years ... Micky used to love condenced Milk , his sister brought him a tin as joke for his birthday? But he also loved sugar sandwiches !)
