Morning ladies.

Another dull looking day here, looks like trousers and jumper again today lol just when they were all washed and put away for the winter!!

Charity shop this morning, my job today is to take everything out of the shop that has been there for ten days or over, this is done twice a week so we don't have the same things all the time. Then they will start to fill it up again.
This afternoon I could do a bit of ironing???

Good morning Marion and all who follow Overcast here too, they promise us sunshine and all we get it clouds and looks like the weekend is going to be a washout.

Jacky enjoy your hair do! I hate having mine done! Never like it. Finally managed to get card done yesterday for Roy's brother. Still not entirely happy with it but it will have to do as I took it apart three times and covered the room with bits of cut paper! Will put a piccie on later.

Evening.... thought I had posted, but if I did it disappeared.
It started off lovely and sunny this morning, but the sun has been replaced by clouds and it seems a bit cool out - doesnt the weather know its still only July! Also noticed that our silver birch tree has started losing its leaves I wonder if that is a sign!!
Sorted a few more things out at Mum's house.... difficult, but I know it has to be done.
Amy is off out tonight with her best friend, been friends since they were babies.

Craftworker I didn't do the ironing after all lol my car is going in for its first MOT in the morning so as I shall have no car I shall spend that time doing the ironing

Topgran, did you get your washing dry? its been quite cold and windy here today but just the weather to see the washing blowing on the line.

I started to make a card this afternoon but then got sidetracked so its not finished yet.
Had a good morning at the charity shop, the time passed really quickly.

Marion... just keep doing a bit here and there. We bought it earlier on in the year at a really good price. Obviously now Mum is in the Care Home, we have to start to do something. Wont be putting it on the market.. there are already 4 up for sale within a few steps of Mum's house. So going to hopefully rent it out. Got someone going in to decorate upstairs and we are going to do downstairs. So much to sort out... personal things/photos etc are in a case. I have various piles around the house - there is a Furniture project place not far, and they take any unwanted furniture.
Hope the car passes tomorrow !!

Karen I think you are doing the wisest thing at the moment by renting, at least do it until the prices start to rise again.
When I had to clear my mums house, it was a coucil house so we had to clear it pretty quick, but as my mum was getting older she used to say lets clear this out or lets clear that out and then there will be less for you to do!!!
But I still had a lot to do, and its like you say, so many personal things, it breaks your heart doesn't it.

very true Marion... at first I wanted to keep everything, even down to pots and pans... but I keep what I know was special to Mum. Still got lots to go through, but it will get done.
