Fab Friday
Caught the tram into the city today (free with our seniors cards) and had a nice walk round Central Market and the Tour Down Under Village. Came back laden with melon, pineapple, potatoes, pak choi, white nectarines and mushrooms and great homebaked goods - spinach filo slices, sundried tomato quiches and crusty flax and seed olive bread. Tasted some great cheeses and sausages too.
A comfortable 24 today but set to reach 34 Monday and 36 Tuesday again. Think we'll be heading for the beach then.
Tomorrow we are going on a walk through Coromandel Valley to commemorate the 175 Anniversay of the founding of the settlement by sailor who jumped ship (The Coromandel) and trecked up the Sturt river gorge. Should be a fun day out for all.

Morning Jane and all who follow..
Cold and frosty here, but the sun is up there!
Bit of ironing and hoover upstairs, took some turkey out for tea... will do a casserole I think.
Enjoy your day x

Re: Fab Friday
Morning ladies. Lovely and sunny here but frosty first thing. Went to card club last night and expected to have to scrape the windscreen to come home but was lucky as it hadn't started freezing then. Got calligraphy class this afternoon and some jeans to shorten One of my least favourite things to do - need longer legs
Hugs to those who need them.

Re: Fab Friday
Didn't make the morning Good afternoon all, so nice to see so many people on here this morning - just like old times. I have been so busy this morning tidying my craft room - I now have a work area Tossed out a load of pens and things which have been hanging around for years and no longer work. Martin is out flying his plane and then he has his singing group this afternoon so I knew I had the day to myself I have persuaded him to make me another shelf unit, just a shallow one next to my inkpad one to put all my small boxes on so that I can see them. The trouble with my big shelf unit is I stack boxes and a lot are hidden behind them so I forget what I have got.
Dont envy you shortening jeans Sue - still haven't managed to take up the walking trousers I bought about a year ago Martin bought me a Calligraphy set for Christmas which I haven't attempted to use yet. Our U3a haven't got a group so I will attempt to follow instructions. Good luck with your internet Frances Turkey casserole Mmmmm. Sounds good to me Karen Sounds like you are still enjoying yourself Jane

Well I have had a Friday 13th I wont forget! Just had a letter from the hospital to go for my first mammogram
Also a friend of my Mum's phoned... she was crying saying she couldnt talk to my mum anymore and its such ashame and how she misses their chats... its not a case of I have got used to not being able to talk to mum, we chat or should I say I chat about anything.
Sun is still shining!

Re: Fab Friday
Good Afternoon all.
Thought I would pop in and say a Happy New Year to you all.
I went away before Christmas and didn't come back until the new year.
Oh, and I have stopped smoking, its a month now and getting a lot easier.
I am just going to have a read and see what you have all been up to.

Re: Fab Friday
Gosh Jacky I was thinking the same as I scanned down the post, it is lovely to see so many of us
Re: Fab Friday
so pleased to see you back Marion. We have all missed your morning posts. Well done on giving up the smoking too.
Karen the first mammogram is the worse one as you don't know what to expect. Not as bad as child birth I have never had a problem with them Your mums friend should visit her - it could help both of them.

Lovely to see you back Marion and well done on giving up smoking - I wish my kids would!
Karen they're nothing to worry about and I agree with Jacky - your mum's friend should go and visit her.

Re: Fab Friday
Thank you so much for your kind words... they really have helped.
Not sure why it is Mum's friend finds it so hard - I know Mum doesnt always talk a great deal, and some day's are better than others - perhaps Bet has caught Mum on bad days.
