My least favourite job
I'm busy defrosting the freezer - yuk...... all that scraping and mopping. Thank goodness the fridge has an automatic defrost! Its nearly as bad as ironing but thankfully I only have to do it twice a year and not twice a week! I'm building up to cleaning the oven tomorrow. At least its only a year old and has been wiped over most times after use so nothing too horrendous!
What do you hate doing?
Its blowing a gale outside but at least I have the house to myself for a few hours as my hubbie has gone to football and our student from Uganda (who is with us till Saturday) is out somewhere else for a meal tonight.

Have we only got to pick one Jane ?
Cause I can think of several
I must admit to buying this stuff from Kleeneze
to defrost the freezer and it is brilliant, just
spray it on and hey presto the ice starts to melt

Re: My least favourite job
No....as many as you like and you don't have to list them alphabetically - now there's a thought
B, C, D, G, I etc. are OK but I need to get my thinking cap on for the others
I'm stuck on 'A' any ideas?

Didn't you know it was a protective covering for your furniture?
Leave it alone!

Re: My least favourite job
I use my steamer for the freezer, well Mike does
I hate ironing, cleaning windows, hoovering, dusting, cooking, washing up, drying up, making beds, I could go on but it might make me sound lazy

Love cooking hate all the rest + a few more
weeding, lawnedging, putting on new king sized duvet covers on my own, washing kitchen floor, emptying the dishwasher.............
Re: My least favourite job
Ya know I used to have a dishwasher but I threw it out
It is far easier and quicker to do it by hand and I hated
emptying it with a passion

Re: My least favourite job
We only use our new one a couple of times a month. Could have done without it and had more storage instead if I'd been compos mentus (spelling?) when the kitchen was planned.
Re: My least favourite job
I would never get another one, all the messing about
is just not worth the hassle

I hate cleaning the oven too and always put off for as long as possible- or at least I used to until my 24 year old son yes you did read that right ) recommended something called Oven Pride. It comes in a big orange box. Fantastic, no smell, no mess I always had to spring clean whole kitchen after doing the oven but not with this. The racks all go in a giant plastic bag to soak and come out like new, and the rest of the oven you put it on leave it for a bit then it waashes off really easily and best of all NO nasty fumes.

Cubbie,
I've got a dishwasher that I love too but his name is Stu.

Re: My least favourite job
A good friend gave me a tip once, just trot around with a can of spray polish just before the family arrive home, the odd spray here and there makes it smell as if you have been working hard, which of course we all do Janet x
Re: My least favourite job
Good tip Janet
I had some serious decluttering a while back
and I must admit makes jobs like dusting so
much easier
Lifes too short for housework

Re: My least favourite job
Tashika is a brilliant help with the housework she does the dusting, she has a long, very bushy tail, so I just need to train her to run over the most prominent bits of furniture daily he he If I had ornaments I would do them as she is a tad clumsy he he Its a shame I can't do the spray polish bit but I am allergic to spray cans, something in them sets off an asthma attack, luckily the same applies to oven cleaners and bleach he he. Makes it sound as if I do no housework he he but I just do it with natural products like lemon, vinegar etc Furniture gets the wax polish treatment ... b......er would rather use a spray he he.
