Good morning all,

I hope you are all well.

Only nine more days to go until the big day, it's crazy that we all sends weeks preparing for one day, my son has said he doesn't want a roast Chrimbo day he would like cold meats and mash which is what we usually have boxing day, that suits me fine less cooking Smile

We are now having problems with Alans two daughter (aged 24 and 22) they live with their mum and after me being with Alan for the past eight years and always having a good relationship with them, they have now decided that I am evil and they hate me, but have no reasons why.
So they are now giveing Alan grief over Chrimbo because they want him (without me) to spend Chrimbo day with they and their family, they are saying things like if he really loved they he should put them first etc, I so wish we could just go away and leave all our families behind, but we can not so we have to make the best of it and try to please everyone Smile

I tidied up my second craft room yesterday which is one half of the living room, my actual craft room is so full I can't use it I will get Alan to take some pic's so you can see what I mean.

Well it's that time, so I wish you all a good day.

Warm hugz

xx

Morning Mikki and everyone who follows, miserable day here as usual, getting quite used to not seeing the sun now Laughing
I don't have to cook this year either Mikki as we are going up to Mike's parents for a few days :)and Mikki as for Alan's daughters they are 22 and 24, if you have done nothing wrong and until now things have been fine I would let them get on with it, they aren't babies they are supposed to be adults so about time they started acting like it, sorry if I sound a bit blunt but it is a form of bullying and holding your Alan's emotions up for ransom and I for one wouldn't put up with it just sounds to me like they need to grow up.
Hope everyone has a good day and stays warm Smile

Morning Mikki and Jan and all who follow, Mikki I agree with Jan, it is such a shame that families can do this sort of thing, and it can be very hard trying to be a peace maker. Weather here is very dull, so when hubby comes home will go for a quick wander aroy around our Tesco followed by a drink somewhere, take care all lol! Janet

Good mornin Ladies
I agree too, I think they are the evil mean ones,
putting there dad through the trauma of having to
choose, spoilt brats is what i would call them, it
will be there loss at the end of the day. You can
chose ya friends but ya cant chose ya family Rolling Eyes
Have to go buy some new lights for the tree they
worked off the tree and as I was putting them on
I pulled a little to hard and pulled a wire out and
of course cant get it back in Rolling Eyes

Morning all,

I am afraid to say I agree that the little brats should be given a taste of their own selfish medicine..... how dare they make demands like that. How old are they??? They are acting like 10 yr olds Mad

It is a horrible situation to be put in I understand so big hugs for you Mikki and Alan x

Hope your lights are gorgeous Jayne just no playing rough with them this time LOL

Have a fab day all xxx

Afternoon all, late again. Had my hair done this morning and had to pop to the shop as running out of milk. Havent got the energy to go for a proper shop today and Martin is playing golf. I feel quite cold today and am tired too. Couldn't get to sleep last night so at 2.00 I got up and filled my water bottle which warmed me up so I could go off Laughing Sorry you are having trouble with Alans daughters Mikki - what everyone on here is saying I agree with. Alan shouldn't have to choose between you and them - especially after so long. Surely at their age they can understand that he wouldn't want to spend time with his ex-wife at Christmas when he has a wife to be with. Hope things work out for you - hugs to you

As a Step-Mother I totally agree with the above
We used to do year about
Alan's boys would got to their Mum's one year and then us the next
On the years they weren't with us we went up to Scotland to be with my family
It all changed one year because Alan had flu and we couldn't get up to Scotland
My family hired a big house in the Lake District and we had Christmas in January with them
I must admit I put a brave face on it but it didn't feel right
Now Alan and I have decided that we are staying in our own house from now on and if anyone is free then they are more than welcome to join us
The dynamics have all changed within the family and they all have partners who want to spend Christmas with their own folk as well so we feel we can't demand their presence on certain years and it also gives us the chance to decide what we want to do as well Smile
You will never please everyone Mikki
They are adults and should behave like it
No way should Alan be made to choose, if he gives in this year what happens other years?
Nope you have to stand your ground on this
It is called tough love and it works
My heart goes out to you and Alan
BIG HUGS to you both I love you
PS Mikky it sounds like someone is stirrring things behind the scenes

Have had a busy morning making Christmas cards
Just had a late lunch and decided to pop on here for a wee moment while finishing my tea
Also had a phone call and there is a woman coming on Thursday for an hour to do some ironing
Seemingly there has been money put in my bank account to pay her
So my next port of call is to have a look there
They have allocated me one hour a week What a Face
But I have demanded to be re-assessed so just waiting for someone to get in touch with me about that fiasco
Oh joy!
Ah well better move I suppose
Take care all and wil probably 'chat' later Wink
