Good morning Janet and all who follow Smile Nice to be back, got home yesterday afternoon had a great run up there on Wednesday, 2 hours but coming back yesterday was a nightmare and it took us 3 and a half hours just to get as far as the Dartford Crossing so another hour before we were back home but luckily we were coming this way because the M25 was solid almost from just past the bridge to were we had joined it at the bottom of the Aylesbury bypass and beyond by the looks of it, would have been going insane if we had been stuck in that sort of traffic Mad Laughing
I hope everyone had a great Christmas and ate far to much and had a drink or 3 Smile

Thank you Janet Smile it was almost bumper to bumper for miles on the north bound side of the M25 and south wasn't much better very slow moving but at least we were moving and the only place there seemed to be any hold up was at the crossing but gawd knows what was going on the other way did feel sorry for the people Kent end though knowing how far they had to go in it Crying or Very sad
Oh we did manage to go to the tree catherdal at Whipsnade on Boxing Day for a little walk but wasn't long before we were back in the car although a lovely place was blooming freezing and not sure how cold it would have been early hours of the morning like when Mikki went there brrrrrrrr

Glad you had a good time Jan Very Happy On our journey to Cheltenham Sally phoned to say she was stuck in traffic about 10miles out of Cheltenham. I asked her how far she had to go to the roundabout on her tom tom and she say .55miles and Ian was in the same jam with .75miles to go Laughing Laughing Laughing Only held us up for a short time as there is a dual carriageway from the M4 (a new section has opened just this week and showed on the tom tom as us driving over the fields Laughing ) then it goes to a single carriageway for a short time before it goes to dual again but a real bottleneck now Rolling Eyes Journey home took just an hour and a half Very Happy

Morning ladies and glad you all had a great time Smile The traffic is horrendous at this time of the year with people returning home and others heading off to the sales he he. I've got a day of rest ahead of me today as my body has decided that 4 days of walking was pushing it hehe but I'm happy so who cares he he Smile

Hope you all are having a brilliant weekend Smile

Glad you had a relaxing break. Still chilling out here but getting bored-must get up to the craft room again once I've tucked the invalid up in bed. He's been allowed downstairs for good behaviourto watch the Liverpool match on Setanta!

Actually no - as he's hardly ever ill. When he is genuinely sick he goes all quiet, sleeps and never even complains! - very unmanlike and quite worrying.

He's quietly watching the match - usually he has long conversations with the ref. A few coughs every now and then and he staggered out at half time to make us both a hot drink -Bless!

Wow ya got a gooden there Jane,
I'm with you I would be worried too
so much better when they complain lol!
Try egg white for the cough Jane
Whip one egg white in a cup with a little
bit of caster sugar or honey, you need to
whip it till it is almost meringe, it helps to
break the cough Very Happy I thought my ex FIL
was mad when he said it but it realy does
work

Thanks for that - anything's worth a try. Don't think we'll trouble the doctor just yet - the surgery will be packed with people and even more germs.

Good afternoon all. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas - sounds like you did after reading all the posts. I spent Christmas day at Roy's - just the two of us although I popped home for a bit in the morning to feed the cat! Had a short walk to Fleet Pond in afternoon and fed the ducks! The wind was quite cold then. Boxing day eldest son and girlfriend came to me and Roy had his daughter and boyfriend for the day. Michael was working so we had dinner in the evening. Got the house back to myself yesterday afternoon and sorted the guest room out. I was looking forward to a quiet day on my own but Roy was bored as he hadn't been out for 2 days so we went to the garden centre this morning for coffee, had a look at the fish and pets, bought 2 cookery books and a new bed for the cat. Just been sorting out some birthday cards for the next few weeks and making up a pack of craft bits and pieces for my DIL. Apparently she's keen to have a go. Mark rang me to ask where I got stuff from - I think she was hoping for a kit for Christmas but when he mentioned it I'd already posted pressies. So said I'd send her some stuff and email some sites to her. Does anyone know of good craft shop near Dundee/St Andrews?
