Mike's parents arrived safely yesterday and thankfully they went up Tescos shopping with Mike so I could watch Moovision yesterday

Had planned to do some gardening today but weather not helping. Grass much too wet to cut and Roy has his leg elevated - again. So a quiet day instead Off for a coffee now.

Me ? I just found out that a poem my eldest granddaughter wrote in school a few weeks back will be published in a book due out in July this year Proud grandma time he he I'll post it here when I have the book as they didn't keep a copy in school for me to let you know what it was like, doh.

Jen.... the trouble with living by the beach is its only holiday if the weather is good!! Then we tend to go out for a stroll.... or go out to the new forest with my mum and dad!

Jen... I forgot to say.... my Georgia had a poem published last year.... is the book called Little Laureates? It cost me about £17.99!!!

It's dull and a bit wet here today, although the sun is trying to break through. The garden has appreciated the rain recently, loads of flowers out, now the magnolia, rhododendrons and azaleas are beginning to bloom, it's lovely. Once they've gone our garden will be more or less only green, we don't have many summer-flowering things. I just love the Spring but I hadn't realized that the garden reflected it so much! Must try to get some Summer and Autumn colours (our adjoining neighbour has a beech hedge which is fabulous in the Autumn) but for now everything in the garden's lovely.

Hope everyone enjoys the weekend, feels fit, and gets on well with all the rellies! Happy Easter.

Damp and drizzling here- just been into Sutton to pay for next years trip to Oz and treated myself to a nice Easter outfit in M&S plus 2 pairs of flip flops and 2 t-shirts for the gym!

Might make a few cards this afternoon if I'm still feeling inspired!

I put mosskiller on my lawn Sue so glad it has rained but now I wish it would stop. The lawn has shot up too. Hope Roy's leg improves soon, it has been such a long time.

I love spring too, but the last of the daffs are now past their best and the trees are in bud. Once all the leaves come out most of our garden is in total shade so nothing much grows in high summer. Even my tubs of petunias and hanging baskets will get less light this year because of next door's massive extension! Still, at least the grass is green unlike Adelaide!

Not sure what its called Lou, just that if they order 3 or more they are £10 each. Pete wants one, as do I and Nina's so that's the 3 covered let alone any of the in-laws wanting one too. Possibly it is the same book just a discount for parents.
