Morning Karen and Jan,

High Drama here this morning as we had to rush Rolo to the emergency vets this morning.......

He ate nothing at all yesterday and didn't drink anything either..... and again this morning.... absolutely nothing Sad

So I phoned vets and he has a serious infection.... temp of 104 and has had anti infalmmatory injection, antibiotic injection and had a 5 day course of further antibiotics, I have to syringe 1 and a half litres of water down his gob in a day and keep a close eye on him. I have to take him back IMMEDIATELY if he gets any worse......vet said I didn't even need to phone! Shocked

If he goes OK he has a follow up appt booked for Weds morning..... hopefully he will be better by then.....

Didn't like seeing this vet as the last time I saw this particular one he put my cat Dennis down Crying or Very sad The bill this morning was £120... just as well I have insurance!

Sorry to hear about Rolo Lou, we had the same problem some years ago with Molly, they didnt know what it was but with all the antibiotics and anti inflamatory jab she perked up very quickly so hope the same for Rolo. Glad you got insurance. We were up in Yorkshire when Molly was ill and they gave her a couple of injections and some pills to give her and he said he would call round to our hostel we were staying in the next day to check on her. We were going home the next day so had to see our own vet when we got home. The bill from the Yorkshire vet was half the price of our vet and he only gave her another anti inflamatory jab. My friend always takes her dog to have his injections to a vet in Hull when she visits her mother in law as it is much cheaper there.

Sorry to hear you still have your cough Lexie, get well soon. I havent done anything today. Being woken up by thunder puts me out all day, just sit feeling fed up but have finished the bricks on my house front but now have to fill in where there are half bricks at the end of the rows.

Lou... hope Rolo soon starts to pick up. Good job you have insurance. Vets certainly know what to charge. I know when our rabbit had his accident back in May - that bill was almost £200

Thinking of you all
