Re: Saturday
Missing my walks and exercise - 100 yards per day is about my limit! Daren't risk slipping on the ice.
Only 2 weeks to go but can't seem to get in the mood yet - I've usually planned what I'm going to pack and started washing and ironing well before now.
Not getting to sleep till 4.00am didn't help, feeling very washed out today and not fit for anything. Hope everyone else has a better day.

Re: Saturday
No wonder I'm feeling blue - all those lovely parties and fun times with family everyone seems to have had make me quite envious. It's just been the 2 of us and the TV for 3 whole weeks now apart from Christmas day when our son joined us.............and I'm home alone, unable to get out or drive, yet again!
Re: Saturday
Never mind Jane, two more weeks and you won't be envying anyone!
Interesting to see you didn't wake to snow Karen, did you remain snow-free? I live in the East Mids too, and woke to about half an inch of snow, and it snowed on and off throughout the morning. It seemed to have stopped for a while, so my husband cleared the drive at lunchtime. He waited until it was as mild as it was going to get, and was pleased because it was white on top but slushy underneath, so would have been a complete ice sheet if it had frozen, then within minutes what was practically a snowstorm began! We thought it was really beautiful, we were snug and warm at home, and safe in the knowledge that we didn't have to go anywhere! Hubby snow-cleared again later - about 3/4 inch this time as it really did come, huge flakes and masses of them. Lovely to see, but I'd like it to go now, as I do have to go out in the morning!
Hope everyone else is safe and warm, and able to enjoy this great weather for crafting.

Re: Saturday
Evening all,
Sorry I have been absent today.....
Didn't get up this morning... could hardly move... Ady helped me
up about 11.30am once the painkillers had taken the edge off.
I then threw myself into the bath, if I had thought about it for too
long I would never have got in, then he helped me out. Poor bloke
had to literally take my whole weight (12.5st ). The bath helped a bit.
Had some breakfast/lunch and took some more tramadol. I had
promised the girls we would take them to the local park today
if it was not raining and I wasn't gonna let them down. So off we went.
I had a hot water bottle on the Portaloo so wasn't too uncomfortable.
After a few hours out though I started to have real bad back and leg
pain and my feet and hands were frozen so we came home. I couldn't
get off the Portaloo so Ady had to haul me off and support me over to
the sofa. I also had Reynauds in my hands and feet, where they got
so cold.... my fingers were red, nails blue, and they itched so bad when
they stared to warm back up!
All in all not a good day, mind you there were a few giggles in the
play park when the girls asked their dad to push the roundabout,
I got there on my portaloo and grabbed the pole and drove round
and round! The girls were in hysterics! Emily said to me.... 'See
Mummy you can still play!' I was very dizzy when we stopped but it
was lovely!

Christine... no snow when I got up... but a couple of hours later the snowflakes were nearly the size of golf balls!!! Its been on and off most of the afternoon, not really settled - but when I went down to Mums the paths were all sparkly and very slippy.

Re: Saturday
Good Evening Ladies
Jane, I am sure your holiday will help you feel better and the weather will make things easier for you.
Lou, what can I say the vision of you helping to push the roundabout with your Portaloo is making me smile. You are
never going to conform are you!
Hope you are all enjoying the break, we have had the kids down for 4 days, double the original agreed time, but we have had a lot of fun. My Mum was rough over New Year so my Dad came round and joined us playing Mario Cart and board games - Bless.
Can't believe it is only 1 day before we return to work and I haven't had time to play with any of my toys yet.
Take care
Pat x
