Rain today - a few drops, enough to show on the ground like 2p pieces and lasted for about 20 seconds. Had 3 showers like this. (it was 32 though)

Knees feeling a bit rough but we have walked round the Zoo for 4 hours and spent time with the new pandas - Funi and Wang Wang - the only ones in the southern hemisphere.

My turn to cook supper. Korma and lime marinated chicken with charred mangos and a rice and spinach salad, capsicums and cucumber with garlic bread. The BBQ should be hot enough now so off to cook it.

Time for bedtime stories. Played ten pin bowling again - I'm improving slightly! My fitness age is 58! (considering how I feel now after walking for 4 hours, that's amazing). Off to a 20 20 cricket match at the Oval tomorrow but quiet day planned. Have a fantastic Friday.

Morning all,

Praying Jayne is fighting and that Jan is holding it together. xxx Thanks so much Jacky for keeping me updated last night, I was so worried yesterday x Hate it when things like this happen in our extended family x

Well I felt such a stupid fool this morning......

Yesterday afternoon when I got back from the hossy I felt great.... ever tried going to the loo with numb bits? OMG what a palaver! I had to hear the tinkle to know I had actually been! LOL
Got home and was feeling no pain whatsoever except as the anaestetic wore off I was slightly tender at the epidural site but no back or leg pain. Was sooo excited!!! Went off to sleep without my diazepam coz I felt so comfy.... woke this morning... and well lets put it like this

I FEEL A BLOOMING FOOL!

Feel just as much pain as usual........ back, leg ankle........ I feel so stupid coz I was expecting the effect from yesterday to be the norm now, was so sure it must have worked immediately! But I woke with a stark reminder this morning LOL....... I know, I know, even the doc told me it would take a few days to kick in..... but I was so down about it this morning I was in floods of tears, just couldn't stop! Feeling daft now pain killers have taken the edge off.... but I am angry that I let myself get so excited only to feel so let down! So will need to see how it goes over the next few days to see if it kicks in...... keeping everything crossed! Daft mare aint I? LOL... have just been reminded that I am meant to have 48 hours rest after epidural so must remember to behave myself! How boring! Pouring with rain here toay so can't go anywhere... also have youngest off ill with a stomach bug!

Hope your mum is soon feeling better Karen hun x

Glad you are having a lovely time Jane xx

Hugs for any poorlies x

Have a great day all xxxx

Gees what a lot to catch up on!
Lou I have had the epidural Friday 701734 and I pray to God it works for you. It is not a nice procedure but there again neither is back pain!!
Unfortunately it did not work for me but please do not take that as a given! It can work for some and I sincerely hope that it works for you.
Poopytree Laughing Sorry I just could not resist it lol!
I see you are back in the Antipedes.
I hope you are having a great time with the family.

As for me............where do I start confused
Health .........just the same Sad
Family..............Alan is now the proud Grandpa of two little girls
The first, Elsie Lou, is now 10 months old and is so scrumptious I could eat her.
The second, Alana Evelyn, was just born this week and we have been unable to see her yet as Alan has been full of the cold Rolling Eyes
But from her pictures she looks just as scrumptious Very Happy

My family.........Oh now where do I start??
Nope! Not a Grandchild in sight but a wedding coming up in October with my elder daughter cheers
So the card-making and crafting skills are going to be put to good use.
The others are just rolling along.
We also plan to move back up to Scotland this year as because of declining mobility I really need to be nearer my family.
My craft-room lies seriously neglected only used lately for one or two birthday cards. It is a case of pushing the mess to the side making a card and yet more mess being left behind until the next birthday comes round
Didn't even send out any Christmas cards this year as I refused to buy any and was deteremined to make them
Half a dozen were made and lie neatly stacked on the worktop of the craft-room
Well at least I can say that I have made an early start for next year Razz
I will have to get it cleared soon though.
Jimmy, my beloved Westie, is growing up into a right pestie Westie but I love him even more for all his faults I love you
Well that is all I can think of just now
I hope everyone gets over their sniffs and sneezes soon and I am sorry if I have forgotten anyone
Take care all and I promise
I will be back Friday 245956

Couldn't agree more - even if I only get to see them face to face for 3 weeks in a year!
