Had fun at the cricket last night - the girls had their faces painted and colected lots of balloon models - all free. Match good too (except we lost) A real fun night out for the familoy - pictures later when my friend sends my forgotten lead out and I can download them.

Lazy morning but off to the beach (Brighton) later for lunch and a paddle. Next week should be 30 - 34 all week so I'll be spending plenty of time in the pool before the girls go back to school on Wednesday. Big parade and firewroks on Tuesday for Australia Day.

Enjoy the rest of you weekend girls.
Hope Jayne continues to make good proress and that the injection is working for Lou

Had a lovely swim at Brighton - the tide was out and sea very warm. Beautiful white sand and showers on the esplanade to get rid of the salt and sand. Watching the test match from Melbourne after a time catching up with the tennis (Murray) while the roast beef is cooking. They love their Sunday roast! Girls are in bed and the wine poured.

Have a wonderful day all = ours is drawing to a close and the sun is going down. Woken early this morning by those flaming Kookaburras again.

good evening Jane Very Happy and good morning Jan and all who follow. We had the offer of a 3 month house share in Oz yesterday. Our friends in Canberra want to come over to England but we don't really think we would want to spend 3 months in Canberra - it's miles from anywhere you would want to be. We stayed with some other friends there a few years ago and did all the sights then (Government buildings and foreign embassy area). It was very interesting and enjoyed it but wouldn't really want to do it again Very Happy Don't know when they were thinking of doing it but they probably would want to come here in the summer, meaning Canberra in the winter, which is cold and when we were there - wet.

Hope things are better for you now Lou. Karen, hope your Mum is getting the help she needs, and hugs to any poorlies out there Very Happy

Morning ladies. Glad its more positive news about Jayne Scorching Sunday 701734 and that you are feeling a bit more like yourself too Jan, don't forget to look after yourself too as its been a very hard week on you too. We lubs you both Smile

Sounds as if FB can be extremly addictive, might be why I haven't really been on there he he I joined it but then didn't go any further to find things of interest, perhaps I should be glad I didn't, but at times like this it does feel as if I'm out of the loop a tad. That'll teach me he he

Hope you had a pain reduced weekend Lou Smile and that your mum gets the help she needs Karen Smile

You are still having a brilliant time Jane and that's great, you deserve it Smile

Hugs and positive vibes to all

Facebook is addictive so I am weaning myself off as I dont get things done that I want to do any more Rolling Eyes but it's good to keep in touch with my friends in Oz as well as what all my family are up to in Cheltenham. We haven't been on it long but now feel "part of the family" and can keep up to date with them all as I am the only one not living in Cheltenham, apart from 1 nephew who flew the roost too Laughing Laughing Pleased to say, I have tried out my embroidery machine this morning and it is working fine. I think it was the cheap t-shirts I was given to work on and the fact that it is stretchy material (although I do put facing behind it).

This is just done on a scrap piece of material which I should have ironed first Laughing Laughing (as if)

I must admit Jacky that the only reason I joined was to keep in touch with close and extended family in Scotland
It has been a hit as I can now play games with my great nieces and nephews, catch up with old friends and new as well as see all the pictures that are displayed on there of family events
Well we eventually got to see the new baby today now that Alan's cold has finally cleared and she is gorgeous Very Happy
I was handed her and her Mum said 'this is your Grandma Hallett'
Needless to say I burst into tears
Both Alan's sons have given me that title for their children and it really fills me with tears every time they say it
I will post some piccies of both babies once my eyes dry out. I asked the parents' permission and was given it with their blessing
The son and their partner who has just had their baby have recently bought a Westie pup just before the baby was born and it was so gentle with the baby as it had a wee look at it
Aren't babies just little miracles Very Happy

I did t-shirts for all my great nephews (wish their was some girls too) when I first had the machine and decorated some towels for Ian & Ruth too, but haven't really made the most of it, I think doing about 30 golf t-shirts and 8 golf towels really put me off Laughing I actually bought it with the card idea in mind and now I have got it out again without much trouble, think I will have a go Laughing

I can't wait to be a granny but will have to be patient a little longer, I know they are trying their best lol!
