WEDNESDAY & Gran's on the school run!

Its Sophie's first day back a school after the long summer break. As she was going up to a new class Karen took her and was staying for a little while to settle her in - new teacher, a few new friends and a new room!

Clive and I took Emily to Kindie. Karen left all the instructions as to what to do and it passed off without a hitch. No tears but she looked a bit sad whe we left. Peeped through the window a few minutes later and she was rushing around and laughing.

Stopped for petrol on the way back as ITS CHEAPER ON WEDNESDAYS! 4 cents a litre cheaper - bizarre its half the price here anyway)

Off to the shopping centre and craft shop after the morning rush hour then on to meet old friends for lunch. It was very windy last night, though still warm, and we didn't sleep too well. Cloudy start (24) but the clouds are disappearing fast as it should get to 33 later. The house seems so quiet now so off for the rest of my breakfast now.

It's been raining most of the afternoon - thunder, lightning and rain drops like 2p pieces - each shower lasted just 5 mins and we've had about 2 mls - hardly worth getting excited about but the gum trees smell wonderful and the air is fresh. Enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends and spend hours chatting.

Managed to book 2 classes at Charlotte's Web (my fav craft shop in Adelaide). I was greeted like a long lost friend and made so welcome when I popped in today. Tomorrow's one was full but a lovely lady heard I had travelled 10,000 miles and gave me her place. Watch his space! Hopefully my lead will arive soon and I can share some pix with you all.

Good morning all I hope my day gets better than it started. Decided to put a load of washing on before I put the computer on (never heard of before ) Set is all up and was about to walk out of the kitchen when I noticed the pile of washing on the floor Had to wait then before I could open it up again. I am off out tonight for a meal with all the golfing widows and to really rub it in, Martin is giving us a lift He has been having texts every evening updating him on the scores Think he wishes he had gone now as he has hardly played any golf since before Christmas, what with the snow, rain and other commitments of his golfing friends.

Good morning ladies sooo jealous of you Jayne having all that fun in the sun and its bloomin freezing here Jacky ive lost count on the amount of times ive set washer going with nothing in must come with the age . Hope Jayne has improved more today and lou how are you? Hope my cd comes today or i'll be a bear with a sore head and phone up and get nasty. Hope you get your cd Andrea. I am waiting for the memory for my new computer. Everything came, apart from the bare bones (the box that it all goes into) as that was found damaged when they were about to dispatch it to me but they were getting more in last Thurday. Glad they didnt send it damaged for me to send back. Anyway it came on Friday and Martin put it all together and nothing worked. He had to take everything back out again and start putting things in. He put the first memory in and that worked, but when he put the next one in it was all blank again. Then he had to take the first one out again and try the second one in that slot in case it was a faulty slot in the box. Thank goodness it was only the memory and not the big box to send back. So have had to send both the memories back as it was a twin pack and am now waiting for a replacement

Morning all,

Going to be a short post I'm afraid as I didn't get much sleep last night and have a bit of a headache brewing. Had to use tens machine at 5am this morning which was a bit of a shock as haven't used it since epidural!

Glad to hear Jayne is improving.... like the idea of the reverse psychology Jan!

Afternoon ladies , spent ages playing ' catch up ' with whats been going on , I've been a bit distracted lately , but now feel I am back on track ! Sorry Jacky , you gave me a good laugh about your washing I am always doing stupid thing s Mick recons its because Iam always wanting to move on to quickly ! Hope your cd has arrived now Andrea , your begining to sound mad about it all. Lou sorry to hear you had a bad night, Jen you ok ? Janet whas happaned abou your horsey stuff is it a insurance job ? My neice in South Africa has started at a new school and she is really missing her Dad , who is still in Haiti .Very grim acording to his blog , he is hopefully back on sunday .
The dinner I made last night for our friends went well , I did a pot roast and it cooked away all day in he slow cooker, so won't see them till end of March .

OOOOOWWWWWEEEEE UPDATE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> the head honcho's for the kitchen didn't turn up!! phoned them an hour later to see if they had been held up, phoned the liason offecer to see what time he was meet head honcho and he cant get hold of him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! really miffed. xxxxxxxxxxx

Will do my best - but we've had rain !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! nealy 3mm during the afternoon and overnight. More due today but it's so warm it usually evaporates before it hits the ground! Still 33 and sunny in between so we don't mind.

The gum trees smell wonderful and everything perks up but its not enough to make much of a difference.
