Terrific THURSDAY Empty Terrific THURSDAY

Post  poppytree Thu Jan 28, 2010 1:03 am

It's 8.30am here and I'm just off to get dressed and have my breakfast. The girls are at school and Karen on her way to work. Getting excited as I'm off to a craft class at 10.00. Will fill you in later. Sleep well and hugs and prayers all round.....................

.............Brilliant class - 3 hours high concentration and 3 beautiful cards. Piccies later hopefully - still waiting for the lead! I met several of the ladies from last year and there were 15 of us. 3 tutors did it so it wasw classed Intermediate-advanced. Stamping on acetate, using nestabilities on vintage papers and punched, distressede and moulded flowers.

It's nearly 2.00pm and the pasta is just about ready then off to laze by the pool for a couple of hours. Slept really well last night and we all went to bed early. The girls were shattered after their first day back at school so lights out for them was 7.00 and 9.30 for us after a quick round of 10 pin bowling on the Wii!

Morning all...

Jan... just wanted to let you know that I also think that doc yesterday is a total ass....... Evil or Very Mad Big hugs for you x Hope the trache tube helps Jayne and she continues to improve.

Can't sit here for long today as hip is hurting...... something fell over in the bathroom last night making an awful racket and I sprung outta bed scared as ****!!!!

Wrenched my leg and hip and it aint arf giving me aggro this morning!! Everyone thought I was cold in the playground this morning as my arm was shaking so bad the amount of pressure I was having to put on my stick LOL!!

Georgia is full of cold poor thing and looked very sorry for herself, but we have been told to keep absences to a minimum as she has her SATs coming up in May, so I have sent her in. I have dosed her up so by 10am she will be feeling the benefit and be a bit better! Its always worse first thing and last thing at night.

Hope everyone is ok, hugs for any poorlies xxxx

He drove to Glenelg, explored the town and marina then had a long walk along the beach. Found a shady spot and cafe at Sommerton Park then walked back!

Girls tucked up in bed fast asleep. I'm enjoying my second glass of Merlot and watching Andy Murray in the semi final from Melbourne

Off to Port Adelaide tomorrow to the sea horse farm and lunch out with Karen. Then shopping for provisions for next week - we're off to Mount Compass to a quiet log cabin by a lake for a complete chill out (just the two of us) No TV, No Computer, No telephone and No forum - shame!

The noise outside the window is manic - the birds are really having a go - Kookaburras, parrots, magpie larks, galars etc. Hope they shut up by the time I go to bed. Its a warm night - still 28 bt very comfortable with a slight breeze through the gully.

Off back to watch the tennis. Talk to you all tomorrow - have a fab day. night night all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just read Sally's post on facebook and I really had to share it with you - it made me laugh

"Almost killed her bunny rabbits by locking them in their hutch with a big ginger cat!!! Obviously didn't realise the cat was in there, until I noticed Jessica acting oddly, opened the sleeping compartment and found a very comfortable cat snuggled up in the hay!!!"

Afternoon everyone. Well it's freezing cold here at the moment. This morning a friend and I had to clear out all our Tots toys as the Church no longer want us to use their hall so we've packed everything up and and taken it home and given a lot of it to playgroup to use too Sad
I'm glad you're having a lovely time Down Under Jane and I look forward to seeing your cards

Lou I know what you mean about SATS Michaela has them this year too.
Kayleigh went back to school today. She's had a nasty virus which has left her very tired but the Dr said she could be like this for another 2-3 weeks and she can't stay off that long so will have to see how she goes.

Have a good day everyone

Another very late start for me today, yet again Sad
However got a letter today that I now have an app for a scan at Frimley
My pain consultant is in a different health area therefore has very little medical records and was amazed that I had not had a scan for 2 years!
I have also had a LOT of pressure on my spine since my epidural. I sometimes feel as though something is going to burst out of there Shocked and he wants to know the reason for that, as do I!

Janet it is so lovely to see you smiley face still on here Smile
No matter what mood I have been in every time I sign on, past and present, every time I see that lovely smile I cannot help but smile back Smile

A visit to a seahorse farm.............WOW! I think they are such elegant creatures. I hope you are taking lots of photos Jane
Your visit to the cabin sounds like absolute heaven Very Happy

Congratulations to your daughter Lexie Very Happy
That is a very BIG acheivment indeed
Do I sense a very proud Mum there? And quite rightly so too

Lou I was just thinking, have you ever tried elbow crutches? I have a pair that I am supposed to use because of that very reason, I have problem with discs in my neck too, but I find they give me little freedom when moving about the house and for the little amount that I walk these days the sticks suit me. Plus I did tend to lean on the crutches too much and therefore put more pressure on my neck than with the sticks. I was never properly shown how to use them Rolling Eyes

That was a near thing with the cat Jacky but my experience with cats and rabbits is that rabbits do tend to have the upper hand, well to be precise back legs
The women that I used to live along from used to leave her rabbits running free about her back garden and the local cats soon learned to steer clear of them because of the nasty kicks they got off them. I never did take the chance with our bunnies though and I can imagine your daughter got quite a fright Shocked
Sorry if I have left anyone out, my memory ain't too great these days
Love to all

sorry to here about you having to move out of the church hall Frances and I agree about rabbits and cats the rabbit would have the upper hand no doubt lol

Sally has two rabbits, Jessica and Chloe, so I think they definitely would have had the upper hand. Having said that, her friends cat is always bringing rabbits home from the fields by them Shocked Hope she hasn't got a cat flap, imagine waking up to lots of rabbits running around the house Laughing Laughing
