Night, night all! Hope you've all had a brilliant weekend and this week will be an even better one. Hope the poorlies are feeling a bit better too.

Off for another look at properties again this morning then lunch with Karen and chilling out this afternoon. It was 34 by 8.00am so sat by the pool for brekkie! I still enjoy my porridge with apple and honey even in this heat! Popped on the scales and I haven't put anything on - I'm amazed, as I haven't been very active. The knee has held out OK but been a bit sore at times. It has been bad on a few nigts but sleeping with a pillow between my legs seems to help. Get very stiff after sitting for even 10 mins but soon manage to get mobile again.

I've banked a lot of sun so it should keep me going for a month or two but the prospect of moving here is very tempting and we've seen some great properties which we could comfortably afford. Got my final class at Charlottes tomorrow so will share the pix with you then.

I do hate the end of holidays, especially when you are in no hurry to get back! After the 6 weeks last year it seems to have flown by this time. Will definately have to make it a longer trip next year, renting somewhere cheap by the sea to give the family a break............and the following one?????????? who knows?

Good morning Jane, Jan and all who follow - snowing here at the moment, don't think it will come to anything - I hope. Good luck in your search for houses Jane. We looked when we lived there and found a lovely site to build on but then I felt homesick and thought if we committed I may want to come back home as I missed the family. I think now, if Ian and Sally were out there we would certainly be out there with them Very Happy
Feeling a bit better this morning, so hopefully can sort my craft room out after Martin has moved everything around putting my computer in, ready for my friend to come for her craft lesson.

Hope you had a better night last night Jan Very Happy

Afternoon Jane, Jan, Jacky, Andrea, Janet and all who follow. Andrea don't send the snow down the M1 please. It's freezing cold here and I can't feel my feet.

The man came for my car yesterday at 4.30 in the end. He said he would be here at 10am. When he knocked on the door he said I thought we'd come a bit earlier so sorry if I woke you (what planet is he on I wonder )

Hope you find a nice property Jane. I would certainly go back out there if I could

Nothing planned for today so I think I will attack more of the ironing pile What a Face

Have a nice day. ((((HUGS)))) to all the poorlies Smile Smile

Post  LoopyLou Mon Feb 08, 2010 4:13 pm

Hello all...... gawd I have missed ya all......

Just gonna be a brief post..... got alot on this afternoon...... Rolling Eyes

Today I have had my sis round for 2 hours..... have the men
coming to fit another hand rail on the stairs, my other friend
Maggie from hossy coming after lunch, then pick Emily up,
Georgia has tag rugby club, help Emily with her spellings, then
pick Georgia up, then discuss her spelling with her (she is
aiming for Grade 5's on her SATS so am giving her extra support)
so I wont have a minute to myself till about 5.30pm...... then Ady'll
be home and it will be time for him to start tea. Can't stand for long
at the moment so he is doing the cooking bless him.

After I fell on Thursday morning (and scared the bejesus outta meself)
he had to take Thurs and Fri off as I couldn't be left on my own let
alone do the school runs! Luckily work were ok and let him take it
as holiday so he won't lose pay.

Had a nice birthday yesterday, nothing massive, just me with my
butt on the sofa most of the day, got a whole heap of gorgeous cards
from loads of crafty friends, even ladies off the old forum I belonged to
where it all went so sour, which was lovely. Will take photos and put them
on when I have time. Ady is panicking about where we are gonna
be able to display them all! LOL They are all so lovely maybe I should
just redecorate the lounge with them!

Thanks to Jacky for keeping me updated about Jayne especially while
I was unable to get on here and check up for myself.

Jan.....All the peeps I let you know about Jan have continued to be
kept informed of Jaynes progress and they all still are wishing her a
speedy recovery and they are sending you lots of hugs and strength.
Glad you got the card safely and sorry if it made you have a lump in
your throat Crying or Very sad

Hope everyone else is OK....... as I have been absent for 4 days I haven't
a hope of catching up properly but am sending hugs to anyone who needs
em xxxx

Jane... can I have some of your sun please.... am frozed!!!!

Afternoon ladies. Snowing here! Did food shop this morning so that's me sorted for the week I hope. Do hope Jane brings some of that sun and warmth back with her!

The Martha Stewart TSV on Wednesday is apparently £34 and a choice of flowers or butterflies punches and stamps.

Oh dear, I can see me having to hide my card on Wednesday affraid

Nice to see you back on Lou Smile
I don't know how I have managed to avoid falling but, touch wood, have avoided it so far, though there has been a few near misses
I hope you are not left with any after effects
God knows it sounds as though you are having enough to cope with
At least my lot are up and off my hands
It canot be easy with young ones to cope with as well I love you
I am also very lucky that Alan loves cooking
T hee. Your short postings are as 'short' as mine lol!

There has been a very fine drizzle of snow here all day, well when I have been awake anyway Sleep , but it is so fine there is no way it can come to much

I agree with Cubby, Jane
Life is too darned short and you never know what is round the corner
Alan and I had such great plans what we were going to do and most have had to go by the wayside
Don't be afraid to go for it Smile Smile

Glad to hear you're having such a good time, Jane, given the trials and tribulations you had last year and this prior to travelling! The weather has spent most of the day trying to sleet/snow here - couldn't agree more with Sue, please bring some sun back Jane! Roll on spring.

Jan, sorry to hear Jayne took a turn for the worse at the start of the weekend, but pleased to see she's now getting back on track. Again, positive vibes to you both.

Can we get some bubble wrap for Lou? Smile Hope you're not too bumped and bruised. Woz down your neck of the woods on Saturday - haven't been there for about 15 years. Last time I was there, the pier still went out to sea; not much of it left now! Shocked

Bognor is one of those family places for us - my Mum, when she was little, spent a lot of time holidaying in Bognor and at the Witterings. When I was little, we also had a couple of 'Aunts' (you know the sort, not really relatives, but for one reason or another, they didn't have any living family and we were the nearest thing) and they retired there, living less than a five minute walk from the front. After visiting them, we always went for a walk on the front, it was nearly always dusk, I had to look at the band stands (heaven knows why) and then a quick trott on the pier, then admire the lights as they came on. The last Aunt passed away in the early 90s and that was the last time I was there; I really can't believe that was so many years ago.

We'd been planning to go since October, but just hadn't managed it. Then after breakfast, we just though s*d it, lets just go! Some bits looks just like they did years ago and other bits I just didn't recognise. Have to say, it was a really wonderful, relaxing day!

Hey, if/when we do it again, I'll take you up on the offer and drop you a line! Very Happy
