Monday Morning

Where is everyone this morning? Its a long time since I was first on here in the morning. My husband's school broke up Friday so he's on an office run till September.

Another week has gone - today is the longest day and the nights will soon be getting shorter again! Where's summer I ask? Bit grey here but the sun is trying to break through. Our heating cut in yesterday (thermostat at 15-16) and again this morning for a while.

Off to my class soon - chalks. Managed to getting the washing done and dried yesterday so just a few bit to iron before my aerobics class.

Hope the poorlies are a bit better today - keep taking the tablets, and if you are going away, have a great holiday.

Its soooo quiet anyone would think a huge nationwide craft festival was going on or something.... shame it aint!!

Having a quiet day today..... not able to do much so just gotta stick some inserts in the cards the girls made the other day (in my gallery) and pair em up with envies etc.... other than that a snooze on the sofa sounds like the order of the day.

Got my pre-op assessment tomorrow afternoon so don't wanna overdo it today as I'll be feeling like poop and being pricked and prodded

Three weeks today is my surgery!!!!! I'll be outta your hair for 2 whole weeks you lucky people

Afternoon ladies ive been at my friends all morning helping her wrap prizes up in clear cellophane for the raffle she does for cancer every month, then ive been making cards will pop on my blog later. Hugs to Jan, Jen and you Lou not long now enjoy your quiet day and Jane enjoy your class and aerobics

Well I have been busy opening cards this morning... another year older today. Amy and Keith gave me an iPod Touch.. just finding out what it can do.
I was going to take my laptop with me on holiday, but apparently I can access the internet from iPod ... me thinks that might be a bit of a challenge!!
Keith collected my mum and brought her here for the day. At the moment she is having a snooze!!
Wont be able to go and see her tomorrow as I have so much on - Amy is going to nip into the Care Home for 10 mins to see her.
Still havent done my packing...Amy is all packed! Finished all the holiday washing ... anything that goes in the washing basket now... has to wait until 10th july!!!

The hospital has just phoned me and asked me whether I want my operation brought forward to FRIDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just phoned Ady to see if he can arrange the time off at such short notice.... Oh God I am pooing myself now!!!

OMG Ady's boss has said he can have the time off so now the op is booked for Friday!!!! Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The sooner its done, the sooner you'll get over it. (Mine's in about 8 - 10 weeks if all goes according to plan)

Lovely photos, Kian and Georgia. I can't believe it has been cold here Jane, we have had clear blue skies in Stourport on Severn. Really hot today packing up and when we got home the house was very cool where it had all been shut up, and the sky was very overcast. I have had an allergic reaction - I think it is the suncream what did it. I only used it on my arms and legs and I never usually sit in the sun but put it on as were were walking around. The first day it felt a little warm but thought perhaps I hadn't put enough on so put more on the next day and midday it started itching like made and have come up in a rash. I washed it off when we got back to the camp and stayed in the shade for the rest of the time but it is still really itching I remember it happening with a Nivea a long time ago so have always steered clear of it and got a Piz Buin one which I used in Italy and was fine. Stopped at the chemist on the way home and she suggested antihistimine tablets. Other than that we had a wonderful time away. Unfortunately a friend of mine died the night before we went and the funeral is tomorrow

Good luck on Friday Lou, glad Ady managed to get the time off I am sure you will be better having a shorter time to worry about it.

Glad you had a nice time away Jacky even if you have the rash, shame about your friend too.... hope all goes well tomorrow xxx

Karen I am so sorry I didn't post about it being your birthday earlier hun.... I was slightly mind boggled. I really hope you have had a lovely day hun x I did try to get your addy (short notice) to send you a card but wasn't able to get it in time so maybe you can send it to me in PM so that I make sure ya gets one next year!!!

lou , just catching up ....look on the positive side less pain sooner , after pot op dis comfort !!! we shall all be thiking of you ... try not to be nervous you'll be fine ...... bihugs all round ! xx
