Good morning all, hope you all have a good day today, I have the dreaded h*****k to do as we are having friends over for a bbq on Saturday Got to do it today while Martin is out of the way playing golf

Lol...I tend to tackle it by just gritting my teeth and aiming to get it all done as quickly as possible so I can get back to crafting (I'm like a whirlwind when I've a project on the go!)

Morning everyone. I'm back. I have dropped Micahela and Josh down at my parents and Kayleigh and I are back home. Today we are going into town to do a bit of shopping then we are going to tackle Joshuas bedroom (it's the best time to do it when he's away as he can't see what I'm sorting or throwing out)

ooohhh... I have had a morning and a half!! keith went off to work, but felt ill and is back home in bed now. He has been doing a few hours a week, and I think its too much for him. Went down to see Mum and she was a bit grumpy!!! Nice as pie to the Carer!! Anyway, I left her having her hair washed and I took her ironing. Spent the morning doing that, just finished Mum's and the iron went up in smoke!! My bedding never got done!!! So its into town tomorrow for a new one! Good job I took out extra guarantee on it. Keith and I have been married for 23 years ... I wouldnt mind betting I have gone through 20 irons in that time!!
Went down again to do Mum's lunch and she seemed a lot happier. Have left her having a snooze.
Its trying to brighten up here now, but has been really cloudy this morning.

Better do something now

Karen you really shouldn't do so much ironing the iron would last longer then!

We have been married 41 years Karen and have had 3 irons. The second one was working fine until Martin started ironing and dropped it You should learn to look after your things, treasure them, and not wear them out

They dont build them to last now I dontthink!!!
I have had expensive ones and cheap ones and it doesnt seem to make any difference!
The only difference being I have taken out the Insurance on the last few irons I have had.
I do have a little Tesco iron as as standby, think it was on special offer one day ... Keith got it for me as a joke - and it isnt a bad little iron - wouldnt do bedding with it, but for shirts etc.. its ok.
