Murky Monday
Morning all. Just come off the webcam as I've been talking to my daughter for the last 40 minutes. Not long now - only one more sleep in my comfy bed, serveral naps on route and we'll be in Adelaide early Thursday morning. As you can tell, I'm getting a tad excited now.
Hope all goes well today Lou and that the other poorlies are now on the mend. Poor Lexie sounds as if she's had a rough time. Still, she's due for some warm sunshine too and that will help. My birthday cards have gone, the February ones ready to go, ATCs rather basic but I'll post them later and my card swap went off last week - phew. that's 27 'to dos' ticked off my list of 30.
Need to do one last lot of washing and tidy the house up a bit so that should keep me busy. The next 36 hours are really going to drag but all that activity should help. Talk to you later girls

Re: Murky Monday
Good morning Jane, and all who follow So many accidents according to the tv around here this morning and yesterday morning with ice on the roads. Have to go out with Martin in a minute to take the car for a service and MOT. I will have to drive the car and him the Bongo so that we can get back. They usually come to pick it up but the earliest date they had was for the day before the MOT was due and we wanted it done before we have to travel for the funeral of Martin's BIL.
Take care if you are out and about and hugs to all those who still need one today. I am feeling so much better this morning, hope it lasts
Jane, have a great holiday if you are not on here again.

Have a great holiday Jane - how long are you away?
Jacky I saw that as well about the accidents. Roy said there was a lot of black ice when he walked to the station this morning as he found it very slippy!

Re: Murky Monday
Back in the UK las Sunday in February but will post on here from Oz from time to time - you don't get rid of me that easily!
Shame I'm missing the show at Farnham but as I was a little disappointed with it last year I'm not too worried. Got 2 new craft shops (at least) in Adelaide to check out.

Re: Murky Monday
Afternoon..
Had a lovely morning... everything back to normal now. Amy back at school, Keith gone into work for a few hours, Mum at Daycare and I spent the morning making some birthday cards... one for Mum (her birthday is tomorrow)
It was nice not to be running around after everyone!!
Had a phone call this morning from a lady from the Dementia helpline. She is coming out to see me next Monday.
We had lovely sunshine this morning, but just nipped down to the postbox, and its cold and looks like rain pretty soon!
There is a pile of ironing watching me whilst I am watching tv... and guess what ladies... it can carry on watching me - I am ignoring it until WEDNESDAY Dont worry, I am feeling ok, its just I want to make the most of my couple of days off!!!

Re: Murky Monday
Karen glad you have decided to enjoy your days off - you really do need to treat yourself I really want to do some cards but my room is in such a state and I haven't the energy to tidy it first. Have put some of the Christmas craft away but still a lot all muddled up on my worktop which need to go in all different boxes etc which would mean me using the steps to reach things and bending and stretching. After my drive to the garage this morning, I dont think I am up to it. The journey there and back should have taken about 20 mins but instead took an hour. Coming back was quicker too as the traffic just miraculously disappeared until we were almost in Frimley. The journey there was nose to nose traffic and the use of the clutch and brake made my legs really wobbly when I got out of the car, I nearly fell over. If it hadnt been for Martin standing there for me to grab hold of I would have gone. I have to go with him to fetch it again later and, of course, it's bound to be in the rush hour

Good evening Ladies
Jane I hope you have a fab break with your family, I can understand your excitement.
Jacky I hope you are back on form soon, these colds and coughs seem to be going around and around and they really
take it out of you.
Lexie I hope your chest infection improves soon, you are missed.
Take care Ladies
