Morning ladies.

Looks a bit dismal outside today but am keeping my fingers crossed we don't have any rain.
My friend is coming over with her husband today. I happened to mention to her a couple of weeks ago how I had been sawing wood to put against the bottom of the fence to stop the tortoise escaping ! The next thing I knew, she said her husband had got some long planks of wood, he has painted them dark brown, and he is coming over today to put them all along the bottom of my rather old fence. She said that while he was here he was going to do a bit in the garden for me! she said well, I like to keep him busy
Honestly, how would we sometimes manage without friends.

Hope you all have a good day

Good morning Marion, Janet and all who follow. Overcast but quite warm here this morning. I have sorted out the house from the BBQ yesterday, all the washing up done and everything put back in it's place and Martin is outside now cleaning the BBQ and putting the garden straight again Very Happy It was a lovely afternoon and when it got a bit nippy and the neighbours had gone, Sally got Martin to get the chiminea out. She went over the field and got bits of wood from under the trees and got it going so we sat there enjoying the evening. Went in about 9.30 and then watched the foxes in next doors garden - the badgers didn't put in an appearance though and that is what Sally wanted to see.

How nice of your friend to get her husband to barricade your garden Marion - true friends Very Happy Enjoy your cd Janet, I have just realised I have got to make my sister a birthday card as we will be on holiday when it's her birthday and while writing this and looking at the calendar I have my niece's birthday too Shocked Well, that's me sorted for the day Laughing We have got lots of leftovers from the BBQ for lunch - Sally made a beautiful baked raspberry cheesecake - only a tiny bit of that left, and a hot cheese & Broccoli dip which all went in no time at all - it is delicious. Ian brought his BBQ round and did two spatchcock chickens on it, one plain and one spicy and they were so moist. It's a proper charcoal one which he has only just bought as Callie chewed through the gas pipe of his old one Laughing and Rich even brought some handmade burgers which were also delicious (I never usually eat burgers but thought I would try one) So with all the stuff Martin had bought for the 5000, there is a lot left.
