Friday Good Morning

Good morning everyone, bit of a dull start to the day here but not raining....YET
Got loads to do today, as we have a busy weekend with Mike's parents being here, but we are all going out for dinner tomorrow night for their anniversary dinner, can't wait seems like ages since we have been out for a meal that doesn't come in a cardboard carton

You have had it rough over there haven't you. I think Jayne has too from the weather forecasts. Hope things are improving for you for a while and not just one day

Went to the Crafty Cow and bought a few of the new decoupage papers, a stamp and the concertina DVD. Then tried out my new hiking boots on a walk around the area, back to the tea room where we had carrot & orange soup which was absolutely delicious and the obligatory piece of cake - coffee & walnut for me and chocolate for Martin. Wendy and Rosemary were busy putting pieces of paper together ready for the sale on Monday - several sheets of embossed (looked like hand made paper) selling for 50p . I will definitely be there Monday

We then drove a little way away to do another walk, 5min into it I heard a rumble and therefore we shot back to the safety of the car

I used to love putting mine on and heading for the hills around Bathgate
I have done the low hills of the Cairngorms too and some walking in the borders
I really miss that

My elder daughter's boyfriend is doing a sponsored walk up Mount Kilimanjaro for SCOPE early next year
That would have been a tad too ambitious for me even when I was fit but I do envy him the sights he will see

Got to break the boots in quickly - my ankles were suffering a bit, I have never got on with boots but will persevere with them in small doses at first. Never been much of a walker either but am trying

It will be worth it I promise
The wind in your hair and the feeling of freedom to be at one with nature
Anyone you do meet seems so friendly and they always stop for a chat

All I have left to do is put the wording on 2 pages, make something up for the front and the scrapbook is complete, I have worked like a Trojan today Will post some piccies when it is complete complete and relax

Carrot and orange soup sounds good to me I found I couldnt get on the higher back walking boots Jacky, my feet are small and I take a size 3, so am able to get into the childrens boot :slol: but I live in my boots all winter, I am ok if my fingers and feet are warm Janet x

You have got tiny feet Janet I usually take 5 shoe but got size 6 boots to take the thick socks. When I was walking down hill I could feel my toe at the end of the boot so had to tie them a bit tighter, then they hurt my ankles. Shouldn't have bought boots, I never have been able to wear them, even when little ankle boots were the fashion I will persevere though and hope
