Saturday
Good morning all
Daughter and her boyfriend arrived safe and sound
It is a lovely day here and Sue cannot get over how much warmer it is here compared to Scotland
Jimmy is quite upset as the postman hasn't been yet
That dog is a psycho
And some really good news...............................
Well it is good in a way
I have had my letter of award for Disability allowance through
And I have been given the highest level for mobility and Medium level for care
So we are now eligble to get a Motability car
It was funny getting the letter through
I was really pleased that it was accepted but..............
At the same time had a wee cry because it is now official if you get my drift
I was so pleased my daughter was there when it came
Keep looking at my bank account to see if my back money is in but no luck so far
All those goodies at Sandown too
Have to keep some back for Alan for a special birthday present
Hope everyone has a great weekend
And Jane, you take it easy!!!

Good news Sadie!
Hope you are having a lovely day
Enjoyed sandown but only managed 3 hours as it was getting hot and busy.
Met Jacky though!
A few good bargains for card makers but lots of other interesting things too.
Bought some beads and a couple of necklace kits. Made a magnetic bead bracelet at a quick make and take and then got completely hooked on neckaces made with lurex yarns or ribbon.
You use an updated version of French knitting and they have large interchangeable accent 'beads' or pendants. Bought one complete kit plus other yarn. Even got offered a job demonstrating for Ingrid at Sandown in January!

Re: Saturday
Afternoon ladies, I do hope everyone who was going enjoyed Sandown, looks as if you did well Jane, It is great news for you Sadie, but know how you felt when you got it poor mum was the same, she didnt think she needed anything to help even at 95!!!!! The picture was really lovely Jan, isnt it nice to sit and look at the water, it is always changing. Have a good evening all and a wonderful day on Sunday.
Re: Saturday
Great News Sadie, I understand how you feel though, no-one likes to feel they need help. We had to badger mum to get a walker when she could barely stand. Beautiful photo Jan, I love the sun on water, it just looks so peaceful. We left Sandown at 2.00, so had 4 hours there - some good bargains, Mirra board pack of 8 £1. Got gold, silver and purple. Also bought some stamps 2 for a £1 or 12 for £5. Martin treated me to a ribbon organiser which was half price, for our anniversary There didn't seem to be so many demonstrations as usual but I have seen most things anyway Martin went round with me once, then we had a drink, and then he sat outside in the sun reading his book while I went round again buying the things I had chosen in my head first time round Nice to meet Jane, recognised her before I saw the Crafty Cow Bag.
Re: Saturday
Nice to see you Jacky - hope you had a good day too.
Off to get tea ready then settling down to watch Strictly Come Dancing.
Ina crafty mood now with lots of fresh inspiration.
Made one beaded necklace, restrung the bracelet I made earlier and plan to make the French Knitting one(s)while watching TV.

Re: Saturday
Sounds as though you all had a great day at Sandown
And got lots of lovely goodies
That is what I am needing Jacky.........something to organise my ribbons
We had a trip into Bracknell town centre
Not the most inspiring of places to say the least
But wanted Jamie, Susanne's boyfriend, to choose something for his birthday
So he got the book and games that he wanted
He was well pleased with his birthday card too
I made it from Papernation sheets, the one called 'Remote Man'
I hadn't a clue what I was going to do so had a long look through all my stock and EUREKA! There it was!
A young man sitting in an armchair watching TV with a pint of Guinness, and a Celtic top on and he also had red hair!!!
It was the double of Jamie!!
And although he is a Liverpool fan the Guiness was bang on.... he is Irish
I was a bit miffed though as I know I have a bag full of Papernation badges somewhere to match the papers and they seem to have disappeared
I have promised him I will send it up to him whenever I find them
Thankyou everyone on your congrats at my news...........
Yes it is very hard to take as I was a VERY active, independent person but at least now things will be a wee bit better financially and there is always someone worse off
The back money is now safely and secure in the bank account
Now I just have to find out what on earth Alan wants for his birthday and also hope that I can get to Ally Pally this weekend
Well it is no good lying in the account.........there are no pockets in shrouds

Re: Saturday
We seem to have the same taste Sadie, the decoupage I was cutting out yesterday was the Papernation remote man I thought he looked just like my brother apart from the hair - my brother has lost his now but he just reminded me of him when he was younger Do you know, I have never been to Bracknell Shopping centre, and we go through Bracknell so often to other places Have they got any big shops there?
Re: Saturday
Jacky believe you me your life is better for it
It is so run down as they are due for a major renovation
There is a very big Bentalls ..........quite expensive though
I like going to Rymans for various bits and pieces
But apart from charity shops it is just the usual town centre shops
I like it because it is not too busy and the majority of shops have easy access
It does have quite a good selection of shops but the renovation is well over due
I love the Papernation, I am going to make a card for my elder daughter with the papers
The sheet with the couple with backpacks
Her boyfriend convinced her to go hillwalking last weekend and she has 'bagged' her first 3 Munros!!
I think a wee congratulations card is in order and that sheet is just ideal
I will have to find those badges though
