It's Saturday

Good morning Ladies and Gents,

I hope you are all well and looking forward to a nice weekend

On my agenda for today is going to Enfield town, it's the only place that has a Millet's shop and it where I buy my ear plug's, Alan snores so much the only way I can sleep is with ear plugs and I have found that Millets are the best.

Then we are going to a place called Crews Hill, it is one long road full of garden centres and pet places, I need cat litter and there is also a Craft Central in one of the garden centre, well I have been starved of craft products for nearly two weeks.

We then have to go to the vet's to get cat food and tablets for Pepi, do some food shopping for us and go round to see my friend Jackie, who has had her house splattered on a nightly basis for the past three weeks and it turned out to be her youngest daughters ex boyfriend, she had only gone on two dates with him, it's now in the hands of the police.

Then tomorrow we are going to see another friend in the morning I have some clothes that I brought in Malta for her grandaughter who is three and the love of my life, and then to my son to meet his new girlfriend and go for dinner some where.

I wish it could just be me and Alan this weekend and that we didn't need to go out but never mind I know it will be a good weekend.

I am hungry so it must be time for breakie, I fancey scrambled eggs and toast this morning.

Sounds like you are going to be busy Mikki. We've just had scrambled eggs with some smoked salmon trimmings. A treat after our early morning swim. Think we deserve a medal for going out at 7.45 in this weather. (blowing a gale and drizzle) Managed 40 lengths today so nearly getting back to previous fitness level.

Looks like it might be a crafting day for me - don't fancy going out again and Clive is off to football later.

I'd been out, dropped son off at work, come back, had breakfast and put washing on by then Jane And yes it was horrible out- very wet and windy! On my third coffe break now - it feels like it should be lunchtime!

We didn't get up until 9.00 this morning - not like us at all, but it was 1.00 before we went to bed and then read for a little while. Got carried away on the forum, Martin was out for his monthly get together with his golfing friends, and when he came home we sat and chatted for half an hour before going to bed.

Horrible and rainy here this morning. Not looking good for the school fireworks tonight, though it doesnt affect me Carrying on this morning with my parchment card so have to take a break now and then to rest my hands and eyes

Got a couple of Quickcuts dies so have been assembling snowmen and penguins and cutting out reindeer!
Hopefully will use them on the next batch of Christmas cards

Very wet here today, but then its not like we are not used to it
Busy weekend Mikki, I love my Saturdays, have to work tomorrow mornin
but its only 4 hours so not so bad.
I didnt wake up till 10am catching up on sleep I have missed this week,
pullled a muscle in my back last weekend an it has given me a few very
uncomfortable nights, but its easing off now so hopefully I can get back
to sleeping good now.
Scrambled eggs on toast sounds like a good idea, although I will skip the
smoked salmon, I'm not that adventurous tried it once an didnt like it,
funny how Cubbie likes that kinda thing an I dont
I have been saying I will start on my christmas cards for weeks, well
I think I should get some started this weekend

Stamped Hero collage stamp on acetate with white Stazon
mounted on black then gold miri card
slipped a square of gold card behind snowflake portion
added ribbon and snowflake brad
stamped 2 small portions of stamp in black on white card and fixed with foam pads
mounted this piece onto dark green metalic square card
added white flourishes done with Quickuts 4" die

Colours look nicer in real life - didn't use flash as the gold reflects too much

I'm into swirls at the moment so its a favourite this week! I found, as I use it with a Cuttlebug, it work best removing the surplace foam. If the card is thin I add another piece of paper. Now it has been used a few times it has 'bedded' in and cuts beautifully each time.

Trying another similar one ready for Monday's class but can't find any acetate at the moment. Might chop up a couple of cheap slip covers and used them instead.


So much for my peaceful afternoon -he's back -match cancelled beacause of waterlogged pitch.

I've just been playing with my new (second-hand) Cuttlebug - I've got a brass swirly Christmas tree stencil that I've had a couple of years and not used because it makes my hand ache doing it all by hand. But the Cuttlebug's made short work of half a dozen - just have to cut them out.

Especially now smoked salmon has come down so much in price lately, about the only thing that has mind
