Just polished off a huge bowl of porridge with apple, honey, seeds and nuts. Might have some scrambled egg with smoked salmon too for a treat. The fresh fruit and veggies are going down (not much in the shopes either) but still have plenty of bits in the freezer and lots of tins left in the cupboard.

Glad the cricut cartridge arrived safely. I've made all the birthday cards and monthly challenges/swap cards so just Emily's birthday card to do now. Hope Lexie's op went well.

Watching the forecasts anxiously for the next few days as there's just a week to go now before I get to sample the delights of 30 - 40 degrees, sunshine and the pool!

Hugs to the poorlies and have a good weekend all.

Took Roy back to his place this morning and roads seemed worse than yesterday. Car is making a funny noise too - knew it was and had planned on taking it to garage this week but it will have to wait till roads are better. Michael's just been round with some washing as he can't get it dry in his flat - no decent heating. Roy's jsut phoned to say he's on his way back - thought he would be longer so will have to get a move on as I don't get anything done when he's here. No post today but fedex have delivered. All stuff for Roy from chinese supermarket (He got anew cookery book for Christmas!)

Afternoon ladies, hope you are all well and warm Smile I blame Lexie entirely for the sudden rush of card making enthusiasm I've had over the last couple of days he he. The theme of the challenge was children and prior to Christmas I had bought Joanna Sheen's "Precious Petals" CD but not had a chance or the inclination to make cards. Ohhh the images are so beautiful that I printed a load out and am now working my way through them for the challenge he he. I'll take some pictures once I've made another one or two Smile

Hope the op went well Lexie and that you will be back on here with us soon Smile

No new snow in Cardiff Sad the weather forecasts keep lying and all we have is -8C temps and frozen dirty slush Sad Pete's been working the last 4 days so I haven't been able to drive out to the snowy countryside to take some photos. We may actually get the snow they promised for tomorrow, but I won't hold my breath. I do appreciate that it causes some problems but you have to admit it is pretty and far better than grey, rainy skies Smile Hey my SADS has been bad this year I need all the help I can find to get over it and these blue skies are working he he

Luv and hugs to you all, and don't think too badly of me for wanting snow - I've not grown up mentally yet, its my inner child coming out he he.

I don't mind the snow Jen, as long as I dont have to go out in it Very Happy I much prefer the blue skies too. Karen, look forward to seeing a photo of your Mum's cake Very Happy Sue, Sally took herself off to Fleet today as there is a big snowboarding shop there and she wanted some boots then she came here. Martin has made his sledge and they have gone off now to play, picking Ian up on the way Rolling Eyes children Laughing Laughing My little camera definitely is broken. It has a little card in there which wouldnt work with my card reader and was worried I had lost some photos on there as there was no way I could read the card. I usually connect the camera up to the computer but that didnt work, the lens just kept coming in and out Mad Then I realised I had a card slot on the printer so at least I could print them off, but when I put it it it came up on the computer for me to save cheers cheers cheers I have never realised that before and will make it so much easier to download my photos Laughing Felt such an idiot for not sussing it out earlier.

I usually love the snow but, for obvious reasons, I'm not too keen on it at the moment. The long range forecast looks like you'll get your share on Tuesday.

Biting wind blowing it off the trees and cars and light snow falling at the moment. A lot more expected here over night............. unfortunately. It might help my SAD but it's playing havoc with my blood pressure!

Gritters? what are they? Haven't seen one anywhere near our road, or the next one or even the bus route/hill after that - its only a minor B road and the school in it is closed too. No wonder we get cut off here.

I've just found a spare 16MB picture card so, if I run out of space when I inevitably take too many pictures on the way back (in Singapore) I'll have some back up! All I need now are the instructions for the camera - I've had it 5 years but haven't used a lot of the functions - only worked out you could take 2 resolutions of videos on Wednesday!

Nice card for Andrea

I must admit I think we have all had enough of dealing with
this weather now. OH is having to take my car to work for
his night shifts as his car (the bigger one) just isn't keen to
go anywhere.

Lou I hope you start to feel better soon, it must be so
frustrating for you, to keep getting these set backs.
Do you know when you will be likely to have the surgery?

Keep warm everyone

I should be careful Jen, you may get what you wish for, and you would, big time, if those of us who are tired of it could send it to you! Smile Perhaps you'll get a nice lot that will only stay for a couple of days, so you just have the fun of it. I would have liked that, I actually liked it for the first four or five days!
