I'm back

Sorry I didn't say I was going. My Mum was rushed into Frimley Park hospital on 19th December so I had to drop everything and pack up the car with christmas presents, clothes etc and get down to her as soon as I could. She went to see the Consultant for a routine check up but he took one look at her and said she wasn't going home. She wasn't even allowed to go and get an overnight bag my Dad had to do it. She needed an emergency blood transfusion but it took 2 days to match her blood so she didn't start receiving it until the Sunday. She finally came out on Christmas Eve but it was touch and go as to whether she would make it.

Sorry to rant on. I really missed coming on here whilst I was away.

How awful for you all. Glad she made it home for Christmas Day, what a worry for you, did you stay down here over Christmas. I live 5mins walk from Frimley Park Laughing

Hope you had a good birthday knowing your Mum was ok.

Thank you for the welcome back wishes. I stayed down south for Christmas. Mum and Dad live in Crowthorne so we stayed with them.

She has something wrong with her liver. It's got a really long name that Mum can't even remember. The problem is every test the hospital do to prove what Mums problem is comes back negative and it's really baffling the consultant. They are sure she has this particular illness but it is not showing in the test results. She had to go for a scan this morning and hopefully it will show something in the results when she goes back in 2 weeks.

Know just how you feel it took one of my best mates about 3 years to get a proper diagnosis of what was wrong with him and it was what he had been saying all along, arthritis (sp) in his lower spine
