Goodness, I'm I the first one here today?

Been watching Murray get beaten in the Aussie Open and now off to work. They must know its my last class for a while I've got a full house - 10! (I usually get 4) Did lots of prep yesterday so, bring it on.

Sun trying to break through and a bit chilly but at least the rain's stopped for a while.

Hope you all have a good day and that those of you who having been poorly are feeling better. What have the rest of you got planned?

Just tried the quiz to activate my brain - did surprisingly well for a change. Got some serious packing to do later and presents for the girls to wrap. Back after my areobics and swim later this afternoon. Have fun

I hope everyone is well and that you all had a good weekend, sorry for not being around but the ME has been bad and all I can do is stay in bed, but it's easing a bit again.

Only 10 days to go Jane, I wish I was coming with you, my dream is to see Ayers rock.
How long are you going for?

Alan is worrid about his job at the moment, he is a computer softwear tester and he's company have said the need to cut half a million in wages this year, they all have to make a choice to either take redundances of 15% pay cuts, they have all gone for the pay cut but are trying to get it down to 10%.

The world is getting scarey, maybe we should start thinking about building an Arc like Noah did .

Well breakie is calling me, just toast to day, I may have scrambled eggs.

Glad to see you about Mikki, sorry about the ME being bad, I am sure the stress with hubby's job isn't helping either. A fellow Parent Governor has just been diagnosed with ME and she has been feeling dreadful for months, at least she has her diagnosis now and she can start getting help.

Morning all, overcast but dry here today. Dont mind that, I just dont like the wet weather it is so depressing and we could all do with a bit of cheer. Glad to see you managed to get on the forum Mikki, we have missed you, sorry that your ME is bad at the moment - hugs to you and hope it gets a little better again soon. Oh Jacky, I used to LOVE Badminton (still do although I can't play) used to be on all the school teams.... really brilliant sport..... hope you have a fab game... get in a couple of smashes for me!! LOL

Jacky shout and ask him why he's doing it Bet he's not as high up as the people Janet and myself saw on Saturday, they were sitting on the chimney pots of a house that is 5 storeys high, that house is also right on the edge of a sheer drop that must be at least 100ft, the view must have been fantastic but not for me I don't do heights Mike has since informed me that the house used to be the German Embassy in Folkestone, didn't even know Folkestone used to have one Mike's only lived here 4 years and knows more about the area than I do

Must say the roof looks fantastic now compared with the house adjoining it (my friends house) It has got all the moss and algae off it and looks like it's been
re-roofed. My friend is going to wonder what has happened when she comes home from work at lunch time I would worry that I would lose a tile or the water would come through somehow if we had it done I might suggest to Martin that he does ours as we have a power washer I don't like heights either and there is no way I would let him if he wanted to as I don't even like him up a ladder

Morning all. Nice to see you back Mikki. Roy has gone back to work today so no running around after him - well apart from going to the PO for him but I can do that this afternoon when I have my nails done as there is one in the Tesco's next door. Got a card I want to finish off today - I've been doing it for two days now and keep changing bits!

Its lovely and sunny here and I've had some good news at the hosp today. They are going to start treating my knees properly - in about 3 months time or sooner I will go in to have the joints washed out, can't remember the technical name he he If that doesn't work they will replace both knees for me. At last someone is trying to fix one of the problems rather than just provide coping strategies Its funny though because they didn't examine me at all, just looked at previous xrays and MRI scans and said there was no point doing any more as they definitely needed the treatment. Makes you wonder why they didn't offer it when they took the x-rays and scans in the first place, doh !! Ah well not to worry at least they are doing it now which is much better than being told that I have to wait until I'm 60 for the treatment.

Phew - the rest of the day is mine to do what I like. Good class but hard work as there were a couple of beginners who needed a bit more help. Went well and the extra money for a full class will come in handy!

Enjoyed the aerobics and swim then finished off in the sauna and steam room -nice and relaxed and warm now - saves on the heating bill at home and I had a long shower at the sports centre.

Got to unpack my craft box and clean all the stamps before putting them away in the right places - could take a while but at least I've no classes to prep for till April. Ought to give the craft room a good clean too I've even made the February swap card and ATCs (and a couple of birthday cards)

At last I can concentrate on packing and planning the itinerary. Only 10 days to go now.

Just off to make a nice cuppa first

You and me both Janet, blimey Jane and I thought I did well getting out for a walk
Went around West Hythe dam again, it's a nice little walk very quiet and peaceful and loads of twittering little birds but there is a Muschovy(sp) duck and he looks so lonely, was strutting around trying to impress the female mallards who don't even give him a second glance, bit like the ugly duckling that wont grow into a beautiful swan
About time huh Jen, does make you wonder why they didn't suggest it before

Lovely cards Lou Glad to hear your news Jen, about time too Jane, you put me to shame - I have walked to the post box, dusted the bedroom and worked out some riddles Was supposed to be getting on with cards.

Hi ladies, glad everyone is feeling a bit better, love the cards lou, we went up to the In Laws on friday and went to a garden centre that had a central craft in before xmas that was all shut up, well the garden centre has bought the stock and reopened it, they had a big box of stamps in there of course no price on it, the lady worked the price of the stamps that were on the shelf £220 well when they picked me up off the floor, I said i dont think it was that much before xmas, so she rang the old managress and they was £40 well i just had to have them, didnt I pls tell me i did, havent looked at all of them yet there are loads little ones and big ones so might get round to looking later on.

Havent done a lot today made some suger free jellies, for tea and done the tea and thats about it looking for something for a smpythy card and of course you can never find what you want but you know you have something, one of these days will get straight.

Right am off to finish tea back later take care all.
