Excuse for being late for work

Just had to share this with you - my friend has just sent it to me - a genuine email from one of their IT workers

"My normal dive into water of depth less than 1 foot did not quite go to plan this evening as the pool was too busy so the normal/required aqua-planing did not occur as I did not project at sufficient forward velocity. Hence after attempting to stem the blood flow from a cut on my nose I was treated at poolside, but not unfortunately by the attractive female attendant. I then drove to A&E where after a 4 hour wait a pretty girl applied a plaster, there was no skin available to do any stitching. Hence I intend to be at work at around lunch time, do call me in early if required. I am now only slighlty more ugly than yesterday

She has just emailed me to say he had to go in early anyway as he is within walking distance of work and no one else could get in
