Good morning Lou and all who follow Very Happy Pouring here too but at least it's not snow, and as you say Lou it could be a lot worse. Havent heard from Ian or Sally but I expect Ian has phoned Ruth and I am sure they are having a good time Very Happy Got to sort out a fax again for Sally, she left her instructions Laughing Laughing that means going down to the shop again to send it. I don't think she realises how much this is costing me either Laughing Then I think we need to go shopping. Supposed to go to the dentist this afternoon but woke up with a sore throat and coughing all day yesterday. Thought it might be ok this morning but still hacking so I dont think I could lie there with my mouth open while she pokes around so cancelled and made another appointment for March.

Hope the poorlies are feeling a little better today, this rain doesn't help me feel good Laughing

That looks good Lou, my daughter has a two bedroom house, and cant afford to move yet, it was ok when the children were small but they are 11 and 14 now, and they have split their room before but they dont have as much room as you, they are looking towards putting a log cabin out in the garden for the eldest. so far nothing yet No No but they have got to do it soon

Its really difficult Janet, isn't it? The log cabin sounds like a good idea! We are lucky in that the main bedroom in this house is 13ft x 20ft so it was easy to make into 2 rooms.....

We are having to do it in stages too as we don't have the finance to be able to just blitz it..... the wall, glass, coving etc cost us just under £200

We expect all the decorating materials to come close to that as well just for the girls rooms... then there is a new carpet for emily and a desk and lamp.....

So... ours will have to wait!

Looks like you're going to be busy Lou but the room will look lovely once its all finished. Don't work too hard.

You beat me to it - I've only been up and dressed since midday and went back to sleep after my morning cuppa and didn't wake till 10.30. Just stayed in bed and finished my book. The phone woke me up!

The Migration Bureau have been in touch and it looks like we can start the 1st stage verifiction process in a day or so! The time may not take as long as we first thought after reading the statistics online. Hopefully it won't be more than 2 years if everything is OK.

This should make you smile if this weather is getting you down

The rooms are looking good Lou Very Happy The girls must be so thrilled with them. Janet I was born in a 2 bedroomed house and there was 5 children before we moved. 4 of us shared a bedroom and the youngest was still a baby when we moved and slept in Mum & Dads room. 3 of us slept in a double bed and my brother in the single bed Laughing Laughing Lino on the floor and ice at the window in the winter - those were happy times Shocked The house we moved into was enormous and when we went to view it we got lost. Went out one back door and came in another which led to the stairs. We could hear Mum & Dad the other side of a wall but couldnt work out how to get to them. The house had been converted into 2 flats lol! It was just a case of taking a partition down to access the stairs from the main house.

Didn't manage to do the fax, the fax machine the other end didnt seem to be switched on, there was no answer so will have to try again tomorrow Neutral

Glad your plans look to be getting sorted out Jane Smile That video is wonderful Laughing

hi girls

Lou rooms look great, have been reading all your threads last week, but have a lot on our minds at the mo, we dont know if we should sell up and move down to st ives while we have the chance, but theres a lot to think about, i love st ives for hols, but what if i dont like living there and dont have any where to come back to such a lot to think about, and will derek get the same treatment down there with his eyes has he gets up here, but could i go from a 3 bedroom house to say a 2 bed flat would i go stair crazy has i can go out in the garden here but you cant in a flat.

Jane glad your moving plans are on the move, am having fun being at home all the time and getting paid for it till august 10th every month but all the other switchboard opperators have finished already, why i have to wait till august i dont know.

Right off for a cuppa take care all
