Good morning Jacky , Janet and all who follow, Hows Carrie this morning Jan? a lot better i hope. Not a bad dayt here today it was raining earlier but dried up now and is a nice windy washing day. Nothing planned for today except a bit of kitchen tidying its like spring cleaning in our house i did the glass cupboards out yesterday and threw a load of glasses we dont use and it looks much better now. Hugs to those who need them and enjoy your day if you are off out. Im listening to music ive just got from America.

Jan .... I am glad to hear that Carrie is doing well..... any up to date news on Jayne..... I am missing her lots x Hugs for her when u speak to her....

Well I think my Occupational Therapist is gonna be torn off a strip or two!! I feel sorry for the poor woman.... as you know I have been told I need to have a stay in hospital but at first I wasn't too keen on the idea....after talking it over with hubby etc I gave the OT the go ahead to let the Rheumatology Sister know I was happy to go in...... well I hadn't heard anything and I had my next Rheumatology appointment with the Sister this morning.... she is furious with the OT for not telling her I was OK to go in as there are now no places till May! The March place is now fully booked! So all in all it looks like it will be May I am admitted.... so you have no peace and quiet till then!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh I didn't say but when Mike's Mum rung last night she said that his Dad has become a bit of a medical mystery, he was taken into hospital sometime ago and they kept him in a few days as they thought he had a thrombosis in his foot, well they sorted that out but he has still been going back and forward to the hospital because it still isnt right.
He saw the consultant the other day and apparently he has got lymph fluid draining into his foot, this is then going rock hard. Apparently it is a very rare condition and they arent sure yet exactly what they are going to do to stop it, possibly cut the affected area out, we said what are they going to call it Reading syndrome or something and his Mum said no Dougs Bug

Poor bloke, doesn't sound nice at all. Hope they get it sorted soon for him x

Morning all have had a busy weekend doing cards and a bric a brac yesterday, can i just ask if anyone sells there cards how much do they charge if you dont mind me asking, i only ask 1.50 to 2£ and they dropped them like they were on fire, if they knew i was up till 1am sunday morning finishing them off.

Well its a bit dull here dosnt know what to do i dont think, i was having a lie in this morning after yesterday and son came and woke me at 9 to tell me he was going to scotland and would be out over night, he could have left me a note, ha ha

Lou what a shame they didnt talk, am i right in thinking that in the warm weather that your not so bad, does the weather not affect you ?

Glad Carrie is not to bad she is a brave girl, i hate those places.

Right off for another cuppa back a bit sore this morning after yesterday, but we have a laugh when i go to these bric a brac's its the same people in the same room all the time, so its nice and it gets you out the house, and if you make some money thats a bonus.

The weather affects me big time Janette... this winter has been quite miserable if I am honest....

The last week here though has been dry and that has made a big difference to the knee especially..... also as the medication is now starting to kick in I am hoping for continued improvement....as long as the weather continues to improve too!!!

I don't really sell my cards hun, just do them for friends and family, but when I have sold them I always get short changed anyways!! Family take liberties!!

Well Ian & Ruth have been and now gone They are off to London to see a group tonight. Sorry to hear about Mike's dad Jan, poor thing - quite worrying when they don't know the cause

Janette, I think when people go to these places they think everything is supposed to be cheap - they would pay that in a card shop for one but when it is handmade they don't want to pay it. I sell mine to my friends, the minimum is £2 for an A5 card. I dont make the smaller A6 cards now as they take just as much effort and time but I was expected to charge much less. I have been given £20 for one card as they were so pleased with it and they know the money goes to the Aplastic Anaemia Trust. This is the card.

Afternoon everyone. Well we've just got home. I left my parents house yesterday afternoon at 3.30pm for the 2-3hour drive home. 3 hours later we were still on the M25 and being turned off at junction 17. I spoke to the Police officer and she told me to follow the traffic and it would lead to the next junction where I could get back on. We follow all the traffic get to the next junction and that was closed off too By this time the kids all needed the toilet so I stopped at a pub and rushed them in and out again. I was getting very frustrated as the diversion was taking us towards Aylesbury but I thought I would find signs to get me back on the M25 (wrong) in the end we went back to my parents and arrived at 10.15pm where we stayed another night and started off again today.

I sell my cards only to recoup my money to buy more stash and charge £3 for an A5 size card, your right though Jacky people will pay way more for a shop brought card than a handmade one, what they fail to realise they will in the main be getting a 1 off bespoke card whereas the one they buy in a shop is just one of 1000's of the same card made, touchwood I have never had one returned and people I have made for have always come back, some people just dont realise just how long even just the initial design of the card can take let alone the actual making of it.

Did you manage to see the parchment demos on C&C at 6 Jacky? It wasn't until it was nearly over that I thought I should have text you and let you know, sorry if you missed it That woman makes it look so easy

That was the lady who was on the Parchment Express stall in Farnborough. Had a good chat to her and a personal demonstration without the interuptions She is so fast I am still plodding along here, have to stop now and then to rest my hand. I think I hold the tools too tight and I'm too tense, getting a bit quicker now

Denise was quite quiet for her and did let the parchment lady show a few different things without interrupting too much
