Another Thursday

Good afternoon ladies. Had a wasted morning. Went to F'boro to craft shop ther 'cos Anne doesn't sell the ink pads I wanted. Phoned first to make sure they sold them but as I only got answerphone assumed they were bust with a customer. Wrong They're closed all week So wasted time and car parking fee. Why didn't they put a message on the answerphone to say they were closed So now I've ordered them from internet which I could have done yesterday if I'd known.

How annoying Sue, did they say why they were closed - seems a strange idea when so many shops are closing

Afternoon everyone. Just popped on for a bit before I collect the kids from school and do the usual to and fro between school, dancing and orchestra. Then it will be home by 5.30 quick bite to eat then back to school for Friends (PTA) meeting.

No just a note on door saying closed till 16th. Not very good for business - especially when they've got competition locally. Didn't even see anything in Debenhams I wanted either!

I never go into Debenhams - don't think of it when I'm in Farnborough I usually go into the craft shop, the ribbon shop opposite, and Wilkinsons when I'm there, then the car park has run out so have to go

I have just done my usual trick and printed the insert of a card the wrong way round again Probably because I printed it out at the same time as printing out the papers and didn't even give a thought as to which way I was making the card

You'll just have to make another card Jacky - to fit the insert

Could do Sue, you never know when you need an insert in a hurry - just cross out the name and put another

Glad you feel ok again now Jacky, it does tend to catch you unaware sometimes, but much better to vent your feelings than keep them inside, even if they are sad ones :hugs coming your way

I've read a lot on the other forum about Epsom printers and their "full tank" problem, Lou. Isn't it related to waste ink particles building up in the printer somewhere ? I do know that most say that software patch sorts it out and it just keeps on working after that. I might have read a lot about it but obviously did not digest and remember what I was reading he he.

How annoying was that Sue I do feel that shopowners should be more considerate of customers in the current climate as online craft shopping is way too easy and often cheaper too these days, with so many having free P&P. Could they possibly be up in NEC show?

Tash has a collar on now as she has taken to chewing the leg that had the drip in, and boy is she feeling sorry for herself he he. I'll post a photo later on to show you all he he. I'm emerging from my "cave" now too after the disappointment of the cancelled operation, so will soon be back to posting properly again he he.

Thanks Jen. You could be right they may be at the NEC - they were at the Make It show But they still could have put why on the shop and answerphone

Just had a look on show website and they are- so why didn't they say so on phone? I suppose they make more than enough at the show to offset the losses of the closed shop! Also saw that the company I've now bought from online are also at the show so don't suppose anything will happen with my order now till next week! Beginning to get frustrated as I want them now When I decide I want to do something I don't want to wait a week .

You sound just like me. If I want something I will go out and find it because I want it straight away - then I get home and haven't time to use it and it could be days before I try it. What were you after

Adirondack inkpads.

Hi all well i am back have had a lovely afternoon, went to the severn vally railway no trains runing so had our sandwiches and tea on the station in the sun, then went into bewdley and had an ice cream and a walk up the river, i bought a loaf to feed the ducks, swans, and geese and the thousands of pigeons that live there.

So back now for tea, and watch telly and see who is going to win the celberity cooking programme.

Hope her from emmerdale wins.

Well think i am going to the nec on sunday with my daughter or we could do both the craft and the bridal show, will have to wait and see how we feel.

Sue, I have two of those ink pads which still have cellophane around them from 2 years ago when the Make it show was at Thorpe Park still havent plucked up courage to use my brayer with them

I use the Adirondack inks and pads for painting, mixed with a little of the alcohol blending solution I love them
