Morning

Raining here at the moment. Thought this was forecast for yesterday. Had a better nights sleep, even though I am up early. Still thinking about Keith and Cookie. Just hope Cookie doesnt have to go back to the vets.
Have got the children all next week, she is struggling as she is on a course and her partner is away. I know its not my problem, but at least it will keep me occupied. Still not sure how long Keith will be in hospital for.
We are all supposed to be going to London a week on monday for this concert Amy is going to ... may just have to go down on our own stop overnight and come back.
Have a nice day, see you later

Raining, raining. I have a friend in Hampshire who recently said her lawn was as dry as she would expect in August, but ours is certainly green (- as grass!). The sun is trying to peek through though, and the rain is bating as I type, so who knows? Smile
There seem to be a few members having to make the best of a bad job at the moment, I hope things soon improve for everyone.

Have a good day.

Feel as if I should be saying good evening! Well Cookie got on ok, he has lost some weight, which is to be expected - but have been given some more stuff to help increase his appetite and still have to give him his fibre food. But I do feel a lot happier, he goes back again on Friday to have another checkup.
He has just been munching on an apple like there was no tomorrow!!! Fortunately my friend who took me in called in at Asda and I was wandering around what I could get for Cookie that he might like!!!
As for Keith... he didnt have a very good night, but I have spoken to him this morning. Got to take his phone charger in as it is so expensive to ring from hospital.

Good afternoon everyone, bit later today.

Hi Karen hope Keith manages to have a better night's sleep tonight, glad to hear Cookie is on the mend.
Looking forward to tomorrow Janet, hope the weather holds out.

Dad called round today at 8am and we have been in the garden until 3 fixing some of the fence panels which came down when we had very high winds a while back. My neighbour doesn't get up till late so we cracked on but Dad had to do some work from their garden which I knew he wouldn't mind if we went over. 10 mins later his doberman came out and I'd never seen my Dad hurl himself over the garden wall so fast whilst this dog was on the other side snarling Shocked

He hasn't had the dog too long but can't understand why he would want it with a toddler, a baby plus another dog in the house. All he needs to do now is get a job Rolling Eyes
Oh must put my claws away silent

Also started to give the panels a coat to protect them but very long winded with a brush so might have to invest in one of those sprayers then they can be done a bit more regular. My Dad doesn't have very good health but he never lets it beat him I'd be completely lost if I didn't have him to help me with little jobs round the home.
Trying to train Jakes but he helped for a while but got bored so went kite flying with his Dad. But the winds aren't very strong today so not a great success Crying or Very sad

Hope everyone has a good evening Smile

Ahhhhh.... please dont mention dogs!! just had hubby on the phone from hospital.
I cannot believe my MIL ... she has been to see her son this evening (my husband!) and dont know if you remember, but from time to time we look after Keith's boss' dogs (2 ridgebacks) well they are getting another puppy - making a total of 3 Ridgies. Well this evening Keith's boss & wife was visiting him, my MIL said in front of Keith to his boss... "I hope you dont expect them to look after 3 dogs when you go away". Keith does not need this. Surely if I wanted 23 dogs in my house it is up to us. Poor Amy is upset cos his mother is like that with him. At the moment I am in disbelief.

Thanks Lou... you have hit the nail on the head there.... but its really not on saying it when her son, that she was "so worried about the other day when I phoned at 11.00 at night to tell her Keith was in hospital and then she never slept at all that night" - said to me its 11.00 and I am in bed (hope you get the gist of all that!!)
