Post  muppet73 Sun Oct 18, 2009 9:30 am

Good morning all.

Been up for a while.....1am ish. Poor Jakes has been coughing all night, his stomach and chest hurts with all the coughing. He's finding it a bit difficult to breathe so I phoned doctors on call who were really helpful said that we could either wait till 8am and have an appointment at our local hospital or could go to Canterbury hospital straight away where they would make him a priority. Opted for the local hospital as by the time I get him ready and we make the trip might as well wait a few minutes longer and get to the local one.

Hope you had a good time at your quiz night Jacky Smile
Karen, hope your sore throat is easier today. Didn't you manage to get to the doctors for antibotics?

Have a lovely day whatever your plans Very Happy

Morning...

Aww Di.. hope Jake is feeling better soon - whatever iit is that is going around is not nice at all. When I went into the Drs. the other day, there were about 12 people in there coughing, sneezing and spluttering about. So you go in with one problem and come out with 62 others!!!! Pleased you have got him in, sooner they see him the better. I am feeling better than what I was. Got a headache this morning, but have taking some paracetamols and hopefully it wont be too long before it goes.

Bit overcast at the moment, but the forecasters do say its going to be nice!
Well I had a better night. Did wake at 5.00 and thought that was it I was going to get up. But obviously went back to sleep and have just got up.

Last night I went to the airing cupboard to get some bedding out, and noticed that the pillowcases felt damp. Felt around and various other bits were damp as well. Looks like I have a leaky pipe So apart from having an extra load of washing to do now, I have got to get someone to have a look at the pipe. Will probably ask my neighbour to have a look.

Not having a Sunday roast today, so last night I prepared a stew set it going and woke this morning to delicious smells!!! Just a case of doing some veg and mashed tates!
Off now to have some breakfast... might try some toast this morning... I do miss my toast!!!

Enjoy your day

Went to the doctors she was much better than our normal doctor who always appears to have every illness in the book and ends up talking about himself. She put Jakes on a nembelizer to help him breathe a bit better then she got him talking about different things and he could only say upto 3 words before stopping to take a breath each time. We came away with a presciption for steroids 5 in one go for 3 days, antibotics and a ventolin pump What a Face
She's not sure whether its just a nasty chest infection or the start of asthma, wasn't expecting that. She said his chest infection will clear up in a matter of days with the steroids and antibotics but to keep using the pump and watch out of any signs.

He's such a funny little chap, I took him in and told him to tell the doctor his symptoms which he did. Everytime she ask him a question he'd go "no I'm fine" whilst struggling for breath. Jakes not one to whinge when he's ill so you have to keep checking and asking him and I think he just always says "no I'm fine" for a quiet life Smile

I've had a little snooze but hes still wide awake, bound to drop at some point he's been awake since early this morning.

Hope your headache has gone Karen and your stew was yummy, also good to hear about Keith Smile
Jacky hope you Martin had a lovely trip down to Lou's Smile

Off to get a sandwich and a cuppa Very Happy

Good Afternoon to you Ladies

Di, I hope Jake feels better soon he sounds like he has gone down hard if it is affecting his breathing.

Karen, glad to hear you are feeling a bit better, pamper yourself a bit until Keith gets home as you sure
won't have a lot of time then. Glad to hear things are going okay for him too.

Hope Jacky and Lou have a fab day together in Sunny Bognor.

Lots of hugs to all others that need it

Enjoy the rest of your day ladies

Hiya all,

Well Jacky has been and gone and she is just as I imagined...... I know alot of people carry on about how you cannot really know someone when you only chat to them online, but I must say I have had alot of crafters to my house and there has only been one I ever misjudged..... and got stung by.

I hope I didn't poison Jacky and Martin with my cooking, she said she would give a favourable report! LOL... have been having a good mobility day so at least I wasn't limping around with my stick too bad... have kept on top of the painkillers since the weather got colder and it seems to be helping now they are more regularly in my system!

Bognor in the sunshine is actually quite nice and the dog liked them too so it was all good LOL.... she seemed very happy with the house and I think Martin is gonna be cutting chunks out of it to see if the loft space is able to be turned into more rooms or at least access for lighting! He has just as many plans for it as Jacky does!

She is a very naughty lady tho...... but I wont spill the beans! Next time I meet up with her tho she is gonna get a massive hug from me x

Hope anyone who is still poorly is starting to feel a bit better, if not have some mega hugs on me xxx

Hope you all have lovely sunday dinners....... or whatever takes your fancy of course... we had roast pork.... only after they went did I remember I forgot the yorkshires LOL.....D'uh! Rolling Eyes
