So pleased to hear things are looking a bit better. I can just imagine what Jayne was thinking when her X walked in and it just shows she is more than with us Bet she enjoyed giving him a fright. She always has had a wicked sense of humour

As for the good talking to, I kind of needed it myself as well. I was crying far too much and Jayne would not want that. She has always had a good laugh about everything no matter what, so I was just taking my lead from her. Many a time when I was in a lot of pain she made me laugh so it was time now to follow her example. So no Jan, it does not sound bad you laughing. You must remember to tell Jayne about it and I am sure she will have a good laugh at it all herself.
Sorry I couldn't get on earlier but not the best of days here pain wise. I booted up the pooter as soon as I could and am so pleased I did.
Keep going the way you are, Jayne love. We are all sending so much love and good wishes your way. Hang in there Jan, we are all with you in spirit if not in body XXX

Glad to here her in-laws are helping out so much and it does say a lot for her X to be there. Just shows that in times of trouble how folk do pull together.

More slow and steady improvement last night, her colour was so much better yesterday although the bed they have her on looks a bit horrendous, it vibrates and then rolls her from side to side, this I didnt realise at first and when she started to roll towards me I was like but then my brain kicked in and I realised what was happening
Another shock to when the tube on her nebuliser came unattached and I just grabbed it and pushed it back on, did make me jump and when I let the nurse know what I had done she said thats fine....phew

I can see you are feeling a bit better now Jan So glad she is improving a little, will carry on sending you all out there our positive thoughts and prayers Thanks for keeping us all up to date, it was lovely talking to you on facebook

Had a wee giggle at you suddenly noticing that the bed moved. Jayne will enjoy all the tales.

Just got back from an uneventful visit but her oxygen has been dropped now to 65% so just another 45% until she is breathing air Her colour was much better and her face less swollen and when I first saw her I cried it is the first time I have seen her entire face in one go since I have been here, she had a pad over her nose to start with and when that was gone they had covered her eyes because they were so swollen and sore but the relief to see her whole face and with a lot of the swelling gone and a near normal colour was fantastic and just got me
I say uneventful the visit itself was but the drive there well was another matter, Jim's Dad took me and his driving well twas a little hair raising
But more good news again today

Fantastic news Jan Have they said what caused it and why her face should be so swollen You don't have to say what, just wondered if they had given you a reason. Sounds like she is progressing well now but we will still carry on sending good thoughts to you all. Take care

Sorry thought I had said she has COPD and it has been untreated for a very long time, whether she knew she had it or not we wont know until she wakes up. She has also been depressed but that might be because of the COPD, she had dangerously low blood oxygen levels when she was admitted, thats why she was admitted and from now all the people I have spoken to and piecing things together this started in September, some stuff I wont go into because of the nature of it but low oxygen levels can cause all sorts of problems, depression, low self esteem etc and it seems like she had given up but it was the progression of COPD that is a big factor in it.

Oh poor girl. Thanks Jan - hope she gets a lot of help when she recovers from this

Glad to hear she is doing a bit better, at least now they have pinpointed the problem hopefullly this will help her deal with it x
