Weekend
Hi all
Where do I start?
We were supposed to head to Scotland early Thursday
Wednesday night Alan decided we would have dinner first then get everything ready just to go the next morning
I was just relaxing for a bit before it all kicked off when I heard Alan choking, a groan and a thud from the kitchen
I eventually got through to see him lying in a pool of blood and just starting to come round
I don't know the last time I saw so much blood
He had choked, passed out and hit his nose on the work top as he fell
It took us ages to get the blood stopped and he was so dopey God love him
Before we knew where we were it was 11 o'clock at night
The dinner he had been putting on the plate was shoved in the microwave and off to bed we went
I hardly slept all night, Alan's snoring was worse than ever because of all the blood
When he got up he was shattered and had one very sore head so I put my foot down and refused to let him drive that day
We had a very relaxing day on the Thursday and slowly got everything sorted
We left on Friday and took our time driving up
All the family were there apart from my elder son who was still on his way from Switzerland after being delayed by the French airport workers strike
It took him 9 hours to get back!
Christmas presents were eventually exchanged between Friday and Saturday when my elder son visited
And of course heard the terrible news about Jayne that morning
On Saturday afternoon all the females went out with my daughter to pick the bridesmaids' dresses and they are stunning!
It was hard to stem the tears but I couldn't let my daughter down and ruin her day
Saturday night was quiet and we left to drive back around 4 o'clock on Sunday afternoon arriving back just around midnight, I think
To say that we have been shattered ever since is an understatement
But to cap it all we found out that our internet and phone had been disconnected over the weekend
Alan had a call earlier in the week saying that if we didn't want our 2nd land line they would disconnect it and it would save us £4 a month
So Alan agreed as we never use it
Turns out that the sales woman forgot to add that if we agreed we would have to leave Orange and arrange to go back to BT
This resulted in Alan spending ages on my mobile on Monday, the day that he was planning to relax, arguing with them and eventually they admitted blame
He was told to get a dongle and they would take the amount of our next bill and that the land line would be back on the next day
The phone did come back on but we are still using the dongle
Result:- Knackered and Alan is not much better
He is off to the doctors tonight to get the result of his blood tests and is going to say to the doctor about his choking
I don't think he has broken his nose but it wasn't far off it
All in all a hectic time from which we are still recovering but it was nice to see the famliy and be involved in the picking of the dresses
Who says that life is boring?

Oh poor Alan. Glad you are both over it now and hope the blood results are good too Sally and Ian also got stuck because of the strike Sadie, it took them 9 hours too and was Sal in a bad mood by the time she got home She was fine after a good nights sleep and apologised for being so short with everyone but after a busy weekend she was shattered.

He probably was
No, he didn't have anything in his mouth
It just happens for no reason
Doctor says that we have to phone ambulance if it happens again but I can just imagine the amulance staff if I did that!
I doubt if they would be too pleased as he does recover quickly it is just unfortunate this time that his beak hit the worktop
He has to go for an ECG. The doctor is worried about his heart but that has come as no surprise as he is very overweight and I am fed up telling him
Think he has got a fright I just hope it is enough to stir him into action and that he is being truthful with me, which does worry me
Just starting to get back to norm whatever that is
Thanks folks for all the comments
I am sure we will get through it all
The wedding is in October and I am so looking forward to it Lexie
I am not surprised Sally was shattered Jacky
Our Alan (son) had to come home via Bristol and the comments on his FB were a bit colourful
