Chocolate Hazelnut Bread pudding
I did this on Sunday.. and it was lovely - the recipe said for 2 people... was a bit worried but we got 6 good portions from it. Think it must have been a misprint !!!
4 - 6 tablespoons chocolate hazelnut spread
6 - 8 slices of white bread (at least a day old)
50g (1.3/4 oz) hazelnuts roughly chopped
3 medium eggs
300ml double cream
150ml milk
2 level tablespoons caster sugar
1 level teaspoon ground cinnamon
2pt ovenproof dish (buttered)
Set the oven to Gas Mark 4 or 180 deg. C
Generously spread chocolate spread over one side of each slice of bread, remove crusts (I didnt!! it only makes it extra crunchy) and cut the slices in half diagonally
Arrange the bread slices so that they overlap each other in the dish, with the spread side uppermost. Scatter over the hazelnuts
Beat together the eggs, cream, milk, sugar and cinnamon to make a custard and then pour mixture over the bread. Leave the mixture to soak into the bread for about 10 minutes
Bake the pudding in the oven for 30 - 40 minutes or until its a light golden colour and the custard has set. Remove from the oven and serve immediately with lashings of extra thick cream
* if you like you can add a handful of raisins to the dish *

Re: Chocolate Hazelnut Bread pudding
I have 'deleted' this post from my memory and will try not to look at this section too often.
I put a pound on this week. Only my second gain since last September and the other time was Christmas!
Much as i would like to try this pud out, I need to get back on track if I'm to loose another 30lbs before going to Australia!
