Well it looks like I was one of the lucky ones with the Asda £75 offer.... I got all my shopping for £4.60 (one item was not in stock!) Have also checked the debit on my bank account and it went out at £4.60

Ordered my new specs yesterday.. have gone for something a bit different... these are my new ones... whaddaya think?







They are almost the same colour as my hair LOL!!!!

Been up the office this morning , Micky is doinf something to the facia on the garage wall , don't ask but I've been asked to look at it and I must of looked happy with it as he 's pleased with it !!!!! Have'nt a clue .....

So as the prescription hasn't changed much I said I'd think about it!! That's the trouble with having complex lenses, varifocals and being vain and having high index lenses so they don't look like the bottom of bottles.

Oh crickey! Mine are due for change now too. Varifocals/thin lenses etc AND I would like Reactolite or something similar for the sun! Oh dear - I shouldn't have gone so mad at the Craft Barn at the weekend!

I am actually warm today Lexie - have been cold ever since I came back from holiday. I have been out in the garden though, weeding and in the full sun with a long sleeved top on as I had to reach between plants and usually get scratched Finished my ATCs and will post them later, just got to finish a card as we are dropping in to see Mum tomorrow and can leave the card there for my nephews wife

£712 Sue, were they 24ct gold ones. I also wear varifocals and have the thin lens but the most I have paid is around £200. I was thinking of going in to get a pair of sunglasses with my prescription as it had hardly changed so didn't bother with new glasses. Where did you go for them.

Gulp.... thats a lot of money for a pair of glasses!!!

You will be pleased to know that I didnt do the ironing! Mum was quite good today, certainly better than yesterday. so we went into town, she really enjoyed herself but is tired so we left her having a snooze.
Mum bought a couple of cardigans,
Amy bought a Kaftan, 2 tops (which I paid for!!) a belt and some funky bracelets
I bought.... some Tortilla wraps for Chicken fajitas for tea tonight!!! something wrong there I reckon!!
Still we have had a good time.

Brown and Whites in Fleet, Jacky. They are always expensive but been having my eyes tested there for years. Last time I took prescription to Boots as they had a special offer on for over 60s with an advantage card and what B &W were going to charge £500 for I got for £230. So I was expecting 500-600 but not over 700! The lenses alone were nearly £600.

Trouble is.. they know your eye sight is precious and think they can charge anything.

Good evening ladies my goodness expensive glasses , my eyes are ok at the mo thank goodness but only the best will do when it comes to your eyesight. Been to my parents and had a bit of a chill has we went to buy Gregory a new PS3 has his died on sunday, so my dad said he would go halves with me has its his birthday next month so Gregory is a happy chappy now. Then my dad had to go to the drs for his checkup on diabetis. Hugs to the poorlies need a cuppa now.

Wait for the guide dog we are sending loads of used stamps between us !

We get BBC south east so I know what is about , and Jan your lovely as are most of the people where you live , but a gang of Eastern Europeans on a cash point scam , horrible lot .

How expensive are those glasses!!!! I'll stick with my contact lens, I only wear one in my right eye for reading the other eye deals with distance vision he he. Its a brilliant system and I can wear normal sunglasses and it only costs me £8 a month for the lens and full insurance so I can get replacements as often as I want and immediately. Does me
