Tuesday and its the shortest day of the year!!

Morning!

Its a cold and frosty day today. But everywhere does look so pretty.
Mum gone off to the Daycare centre... hasnt been too good this past few days.
I was going to nip into town this morning, but have to do a bit of tidying up.. my kitchen is a mess!
Amy is supposed to be going to her Winter Ball tonight, but at the moment she doesnt feel too good, her cough and sore throat has come back. Keith isnt well, and darent go too far from a toilet! and I feel a bit queasy.
Right... better get on, loads to do

Good morning Karen and all who follow. Karen, don't work too hard if you're not feeling good. Sally stayed in bed for the day doing absolutely nothing but drinking watered down fruit juices and cups of tea and taking Lemsip and her cough and cold seemed to disappear overnight. I was amazed how quickly it went. Thought I had posted on here yesterday but realise I was just reading the posts using my phone and hadn't actually been on while I was on the computer. We went to see the new Harry Potter yesterday afternoon, I wasn't particularly worried about seeing it as I didnt understand what was going on in the last one but Martin and Sally did. It was good and then we went to Nandos for a meal before going and getting a bit of shopping.

Thoroughly p****d off! still coughing, cancelled the one an only party I was invited to, and the Aussie dollar has slummped to 1.55 (was 1.68 a couple of months ago0 and we still have no holiday money. Our house fund for Australia has dropped by £60,000 since we applied for our Visas and, even though we are due to fly out in just 3 weeks I can't seem to show any enthusiasm!

Hope everyone else is having a better day. Going to try and get the car out and do some shopping. At least the spare room is ready for my son when he comes and the presents are wrapped.

The roads here are so much better, just hope there is no snow overnight, not forecasted to be but that seems to make no difference. The roads are just slushy now. My nephew was on the Oxford BBC radio this morning and TV tonight, he is in the St. Johns ambulance. I have put a link on my facebook but I think it only lasts 24 hours. He did really well ( I still think of him as a little boy and he is 40 now )
