I'm back!

Got home about midnight last night. Just been catching up on emails and posts on here after unpacking and shopping this morning.

Had a brill holiday- sun, sea and sand - what more could I ask for! Temperature a pleasant 25ish all week and sunny!! Nicely tanned now. Hotel lovely and food good. Not much around the area though apart from 4 other resort hotels - so very relaxing. We didn't even do any of the day trips as we were only there for a week. Will put some piccies on when I've uploaded them from camera. Fortunately the Red Sea resorts were not affected by all the unrest in Egypt.The only effect it had where we were was that the hotel shop closed as the owner went back to Cairo to make sure his family were OK.

Hope all the poorlies (including the children) are all recovering well.

So glad to see you back Sue, I was getting quite worried about you as I didn't know if you flew in and out from Cairo. Now I am worried about my friends in Townsville So many things to worry about Karen, you have just reminded me that I have a basket full of washing to do and I was really going to get down to it and do it all today forgot all about it when I started making cards again. Well, it won't run away yet, so I am sure it will be there for tomorrow. Just going to put a load in now.

Jacky... you have slipped up there - you could have slipped your washing in with Sue's... sure she wont notice

Ther was coverage of the cyclone hitting Townsville but visual communications are down. No casualties but some structural damage as you would expect. Hope your friends are OK

Thanks Jane for the link. I have just heard on facebook that they are safe and not much damage to their house He is in the Australian army and based in Townsville with his wife and two sons. We knew them in Woomera when he was 8 He is 40 now.

We flew to and from Taba. No problems apart from very slow Egyptian bureaucracy! Passports checked about 6 times!

OMG I still havent put any in and it is a lovely day today - off to do it now. Been shopping and didnt get much as I was feeling queasy with these pills - even the cakes and buns couldn't tempt me. I'm ok now so should have waiting

Going to pick Dulcie up in a little while so this is just a quickie ! Yes she 's still there ! Got a funeral next tuesday , not nice , just a old boy whom I've known for years and him and his wife are lovely .must dash !
