Christmas Eve Empty Christmas Eve

Morning...

Up before the early bird this morning! Ham in cooking away, just got my pastry out of the freezer to make my mince pies, got the last christmas pudd to steam (have made 3) 2 will go in the freezer.
A pile of ironing and a visit down to the Home and that is going to be my day.
Tried wrapping a few presents last night, but with Bailey's help... things didnt go too well!
It doesnt feel too cold out and no rain, no white christmas then.
Right... off now to see what else I can do quietly!
Take care xx

Good morning Karen and all who follow. I have got to get the ham on, and then get the vacuum out and give everywhere a good dusting. We have Sally & Richard staying tonight so have to make the bed up. Don't work too hard and hope you all have a very Merry Christmas Christmas Eve 153129 Christmas Eve 916514

Christmas Eve Empty Re: Christmas Eve

I am pooped! Just got the oven to clean and then I can sit and relax.
Been to see Mum and she was really good... eyeing up one of the new carer's! Took down a couple of mince pies for her. Also took her a card down from Lorraine (our hairdresser) and she knew who she was, also called to one of the residents with the right name. Little things like that make me so happy. Hoping she will be ok to come up to our house for lunch tomorrow...even if its only for lunch, it will make my christmas. Have made her a christmas cake, but going to keep that with us and just take some down everytime we go.

Sue... the mincemeat recipe is A-MAY-ZING (as Craig Revel Horwood would say!)

Got to think what I am going to do for tea now!

So pleased that your Mum is so good at the moment Karen Very Happy I am pooped too. I did all the kitchen and doing the lounge Martin asked what I used to clean the shower as he was doing the bathroom Shocked I gave him the cleaner and the sponge I use and left him to it. I finished all I was doing and he made a cuppa so we sat and had that. I took some towels up to the bathroom and What a Face he had only done the shower and it really needed doing properly as leaves were falling off the plants on the windowsill and were still in the bath, fluff on the shelf and the basin had the cloth and sponge sitting in it where he had finished with it. Loo hadn't been cleaned although I did put the cleaner in it when I gave him the other things Evil or Very Mad I was so annoyed as he was sat there watching a Christmas film. His excuse - he didn't know how to clean the rest scratch All done now, just waiting for Sally to come - due at 4.00 but it appears to be 5.15 now Laughing She did phone and say she would stop by the stables on the way here. She is supposed to be doing the gammon and they are going out with Ian & Ruth at 8.00 so think I may be finishing that too.

Happy Christmas to you all as I doubt I will get on here tomorrow Laughing
